It was motion day in the YSL trial with new judge, Judge Whitaker and she was whipping through the motions!
First up Bond:
Judge Whitaker denies bond for Jeffrey ‘Young Thug’ Williams who is represented by Brian Steel and Keith Adams,
Deamonte ‘Yak Gotti’ Kendrick who is represented by Doug Weinstein and for Marquavious Huey who is represented by Careton Matthews.
Judge Whitker also says she will make rulings regarding the Mistrial Motions Tomorrow and Attorney Bruce Harvey argues his motion that the trial should be end (without prejudice) – but none of the other attorneys join in on this motion.
Judge Whitaker also has the state, Max Schardt and Brian Steel argue some of their evidentiary motions.
The state filed a motion to compel the defense provide their discovery to the state but Brian Steel says this has been deal with many times before. He gets quite expressive.

The judge's chuckles and snorts filled my heart in a way I didn't know it could be filled. She don't want to hear any bullshit. That "duty of candor" line felt like I was singing "Lift Every Voice and Sing" 😂😂
Of course, she specifically mentioned for the defense not to turn over evidence that would impeach witnesses. State doesn't want to hear anything about impeachment 🙄
