   MOM, YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED THE BABY ALSO, HOW HE WAS GETTING INJURIES??.

8. I don’t believe anything that man has to say. It is physical abuse. Picking up the child forcing him back on the treadmill is abuse.

9. It is chronic abuse. Don’t you see what he’s doing to him when he’s on the treadmill? He picks them up. Put them back on the child ball ball the game. He picks them up and put them back on again. What more evidence do you need?

13. The nature of being a young mother, age 17, you are still a minor, it is appropriate that she stay with her family. In my eyes this is not a negative, this is a young woman who realizes her immaturity, lack of knowledge and experience, in some way this is good judgement. It does "Take a Village", to raise children, imo. I had my grandparents in my life from as far back as I can remember. My sisters and I fought about who would get to go stay with them for the weekends. When my other sisters were spending entire days at school, I was the youngest and still only went half days. For the two years that I was on half days I lived with my grandparents, and went home to my parents on the weekend. We grew up close with aunts and uncles and cousins. I can't imagine sending a child to live with a stranger over being with family, unless of course, he wouldn't be welcome. Lots of people have substance abuse problems. My first yr in the military was spend, pretty much, partying. Sometime close to the end of my first yr at my duty station I remember coming to the realization that if I didn't start finding some kind of joy and happiness out there in the middle of the desert, I was absolutely going to be an alcoholic. That was when I started changing what I did in my off time, it's a matter of maturity and luck. Making mistakes and being able to see it and act on it before you life goes off the rails.

14. Bottom line…He hated and resented the mom for causing the state to come after him for child support on a child he didn’t love nor want….So he went after custody to spite her and was able to get it because she was strung out on drugs and didn’t have her life in order enough to care for her son…Then he took out his anger and frustration on the child until he did him in…He didn’t care about her when he impregnated her. He hated her then. He hates her now, and poor little Cory was just collateral damage to him. Age old story. Happens often. Wake up ladies!

16. Why would the court give him full custody when the child didn't even know him?? It makes no sense.

17. Both parents were neglectful….but I think Dad took his anger out on the son becuz of mom…still no excuse! I think Dad beat him to death. Blaming mom. So horrible.

20. I believe that people expect too much from child protective services and department of children and families safety because they are not 100% and they will never be. I got my son taken away because I smoked marijuana even though I am working a full-time job was able to pay bills and take care of them. It didn't matter and they removed my son to put him with someone who smoked crack and is a child molester but they don't care because they're just trying to get tax dollars

22. The court failed Cory and the mother. If the court would have granted her request, he would probably be alive. Who holds these judges accountable??

25. I can't watch this. My ex husband got custody of my kids because he could afford expensive lawyers, then his new wife brutally abused them for years and he IGNORED it.

26. The mom was the one that was taking the boy to doctors and noticing that something was not right and was a fact with the boy dead. Maybe was not dad intention to kill him but in the video it is looking that dad was putting his kid in an extreme exercise like his son was an adult not a kid. Maybe that extreme exercise and the football game was too much for his body. Very sad this kid is dead. This dad cold expresion with not feeling in court scare me; mom crying when sees son picture but dad kept showing not feeling😢
