As of September 2020, the laws surrounding driving and mobile phone use in Western Australia have been updated.

A $1000 fine and 4 demerit points will be imposed anyone caught driving and using their mobile phone in any way other to receive/terminate a phone call while the phone is stationed in a cradle or holster.

Yet another money grab by the Asshole in Charge Chairman Mao Gowan (thank god he has gone) but what idiot bans the use of phones in cars but just about every new car has touch screen displays even down to the use of climate control….why not fine people for using their car controls. What a pack of phucking idiots.

  2. General question..
    what if the phone is between legs but tucked under the drivers leg, so not technically on one’s leg not being touched and not being operated.. in a stationary position (not parked).
    And the police officer admits “I didn’t actually see you touch the phone.”
