Well, those IELTS examiners….
I have been living and working in Australia for 15 years! I teach at a university level, haven been tour guiding (faced with accents from all around the world) and do a lot of English proof reading. I speak fluently with anyone from any country. My English, I would say, is pretty damn good. I also had to sit several IELTS tests. Every time, the examiners had such an extremely strong accent (Russian, Indian and others) themselves that I had to ask them to repeat their questions. What a joke! My English was way better than theirs but I would get minus points for asking for clarification.
They said german is hard but English is more harder than German
