Live-streamed on April 23, 2024

Randall Eliason, white collar crime professor at George Washington University Law School and author of the Sidebars newsletter, discusses the recent developments in all of Trump’s criminal cases.

Emma and Randall look to the civil cases facing Trump, including the massive bond he currently owes New York, and parse a little deeper through the major cases out of Florida – surrounding his mishandling of classified documents – and D.C. – on the role he played in the January 6th insurrection attempt. Wrapping up, they tackle the role of Trump’s Supreme Court immunity hearings in preventing either of these cases from impacting his candidacy, and explore what a second Trump presidency would mean for the future of any of these cases. Emma also touches on the ongoing anti-war and anti-genocide protests coming out of Columbia University, and the powerful display by faculty to stand with the students.

  1. Bragg is no hero. He has given Trump a pass on his financial crimes. Explain to me how Trump is liable for $450M in civil penalties and his company is guilty of fraud but the owner of the company has no culpability.

  2. Gonna be using your 😭 as lube when Trump wins 2024 ain’t nothing u can do about it and remember the more u struggle the more we get excited and go in deep

  3. Gonna be using your 😭 as lube when Trump wins 2024 ain’t nothing u can do about it😂😂😂😂😂

  4. I wonder if Trump runs a third time and gets nominated again should he lose in November– assuming he won't call for another insurrection.😳

  5. He’ll still knock over the pieces, crap all over the board, and strut around like he won regardless.

  6. It seems really disrespectful not to call Fani (Fauny) Willis by her own pronunciation. That name is not a bit unusual in the South. That was the name of our school principal, and I’ve known others named Fauny. Make an effort — not only polite, but more accurate reporting.

  7. The democrats are losing on purpose so when fascism fails it will be Trumps and the SCOTUS fault.
Kinda like November will be the voters fault.

  8. Are we just pretending that DJT didn't break the conditions of his release in his other indictments?

  9. The fact that a video discussing the ongoing HISTORIC criminal trial of a FORMER PRESIDENT only gets a fraction of the attention/engagement that the 24/7 Gaza outrage porn videos do, tells you everything you need to know about this channel, its audience, and their commitment to defeating Trump in 2024, which should be everyone’s primary focus.

MR has lost the plot. Emma’s brand of leftism, which centers hysterics, theatrics, histrionics and high school cliquery, has lost itself in an orgy of unchecked emotion and excessive moralism.

  10. Aileen Cannon is a problem but Merrick Garland sat on his ass and ignored Trump's crimes for >2 years while Pelosi and Lizzy did their dog any pony show to further Lizzies chances for President as 'one of the good ones'.

The real rott in our nation goes deeper because EVERYONE knows Trump is man who has spent life committing fraud and yet never faced any indictments?! Doesn't get more Sus than that.

Merrick Garland is a liar when he says no one is above law and he knows it is a lie.

  11. Never before been here so will err on the side of stupidity. Like Clinton saying what does ‘is’ mean.

  12. He is wrong.
This case may not look as bad, but case that is in court right now is stronger than than the documents one.
This one just did not get as much publicity.
There is paper works of transactions.
There are witnesses that far stronger.
It is not as bad, but still really bad and really strong.
There is no way for trump to argue him self out of this one.

  13. You could have indicted him for farting… Make it a narrow scope of one farting incident

  14. He was continuing to lie about his assets throughout the case! Both over AND underestimating, depending on what was needed!

  15. They should replace that thing he calls a face with an actual orange on the thumbnails 🍊

  16. The Left: The Right is a threat to Democracy.

Also the Left: Actively trying to put their primary political opponent in prison during an election and attempting to remove him from ballots across the Nation.

  17. It has become a prerequisite to have accumulated court fame to get into powerful political positions, how dreadful😮

  18. I love you MR, but sometimes its hard to leave a like simply for the thumbnails 😭 too much orange in my likes list 😭

  19. Soooooo we’re SOL and NONE of these cases are looking good to be sorted any time soon. Biden is embracing Israel and abandoning young people. Democrats and resistance libs are digging in…

Wow. Everything’s coming up roses for team truth and justice.

  20. Trump has left his bare butt hanging out civilly and criminally in so many ways. It’s says a lot about the system of justice that he hasn’t been in the can already.
