Can explain what the difference is procedurally between Separation in Common-Law vs Divorce in Marriage? Do lawyers, courts, and judges automatically get involved with Divorce and not with Common-Law Separation? Is a Common-Law separation more likely to be less stressful in terms of state law entering one's relationship even if you divide accumulated assets?
