2. My money is on one of two things here (my opinion, obviously):

   1) He's running out of money and they're not working for free;
   2) The legal firm are very likely to end up as codefendants. They've overseen his businesses for 20+ years, but didn't know what he was doing? Please… Whilst that doesn't affect any DV charges, it would affect anything involving money. He will probably use them as his defence and say they gave him bad advice, so they're protecting themselves and their business.

3. Everything he deletes from his social media accounts can be restored from backups. I will never understand why people like him believe that when they delete, it’s gone. It never is.

There are several instances that a lawyer/law firm can discharge a client and a lawyer/law firm can testify against a client if the client has used said lawyer services to further criminal activity and the lawyer is defending themselves against the accusations against them regarding the client. For the circumstances allowing the first part of what I said just read ABA rules of professional conduct, specifically Rule 1.16 declining or terminating representation
