  1. Hold onnnnnn, the brother still thinks Karen did it???? With the evidence this is extremely confusing how he came to this conclusion.

  2. But jurors are allowed to tell their side of things post verdict IF the judge doesn’t essentially rule in a gag order. (47:33) Jurors have gone on the write books, the Mendez, Trump, and OJ trials for instance. This isn’t a rarity for jurors to speak out but I also wouldn’t say it’s overtly common either; it’s just something that can happen. ‘Lawyer You Know’ and his father have both stated that jurors reach by out to the defense has happened to her in trails before and it makes sense in the Read v Mass case due to the publicity.

I loved to hear this lawyer’s take on this case and its mistrial; she definitely had takes I could understand and agree with. Especially her take on Judge Bev- she’s catching lots of judgement on the reading of instructions, but she was quick to place the jurors’ identities under protection!

  3. I feel sorry that John O Keefe was related to this idiot. Paul should be totally suspicious of the police investigation.

  4. Karen never hit John his injuries are not from a car accident say th experts and they really did not prove she was drunk !!!

  5. I appreciated Morjieta’s reminder at the end about how the Read case is not an outlier. One of the frustrating things about following this case is the number of folks who are passionately calling out the injustice taking place, rightfully so, but make some comment defending policing by saying this isn’t like those ‘hate’ marches in 2020, that the criticism of police in this case is valid and justified.
A lot of the individuals covering this case are more right leaning (i.e. Turtleboy) and I’m happy to find common ground wherever possible, they are fighting a good fight in this case and I’m happy to support that, but it is depressing to hear how effective the Blue Lives Matter propaganda was in distorting the message of the BLM protests. They understand how differently this case would’ve gone had she not had the funds to fight it, which provides a foundation and opportunity to help correct their misconceptions of BLM and the defund movement. Help them understand that it wasn’t just about police brutality (even though that alone should justify the outrage) but take Read’s case, imagine where she’d be if she didn’t have hundreds of thousands to fight it- would we have even heard about it? Probably not. Now… scale up, again, again, again- imagine thousands of cases across the country and you might start to get why reform is absolutely necessary. There are so many sitting in jail or prison due to lack of funds and corrupt, or biased, investigators taking the easy/lazy route to close a case quickly. Innocent people forced to take a plea deal or risk losing years of their life due to an incompetent investigation where evidence was collected to support a conclusion, not to solve the case. Unfortunately, Karen Read’s case is not unique in our justice system, but the attention it’s getting is… try to take advantage of the opportunity that provides to educate folks where you can.

  6. I honestly can’t understand how the Brother is supporting the McCabes. How are you Law Enforcement and all this is going on outside your house, on your lawn no less, and you Don’t come Outside?! Does he really think a car backing into his brother blacked both his eyes and the defensive wounds and dog scratches on his body?! Why did so many people involved lie about knowing certain people and then it was immediately proven they did know these people?! He must be Super Pro Law Enforcement.

  7. Some of those Canton citizens why those blm marches were held & some talks of defunding portions of police departments… cops are corrupt

  8. I understand Paul being upset with Karen. His brother is gone and Karen is being accused. He's the last of the three O'Keefe children left. But it's sad how he calls these people "friends" when they're in cahoots in corruption.

  9. Wtf! Why is his family backing these folks, all in the name of "friendship" It's clear as day, they did it and framed her. The blind following the dumb?

  10. Yay a new episode of the best show on the internet 🎉 the way I said “goooooolzbae” 😂❤

  11. Based off of The Nuro biology of behavioral-isms (we all have the same facial neurons that respond regardless of our words)… lying. Mostly to his self, which is creating delusion. Sometimes the truth is hard to process. 🤷🏾‍♀️ This man is 100% lying to himself to evade the truth because if those police actually cared, they intentionally would have done a better job.

  12. Per usual; SUPER amazing interview and job well done! I can't express how much I enjoy your work.

  13. Are you fucking kidding me!!??!! So you mean to tell me you aren't pissed at them for botching your brother's case for adequate justice!?!?! Wow!!!

  14. Another great podcast ❤! I completely miss this before but I love the new set court set design.

  15. Just looking at it from a different perspective the brother knows these people like he said. He knows the se officers and had no mishap with them. Whereas on the other hand he know his brother and Karen’s relationship was coming to an end and allegedly arguing a lot. Which gives Karen motive. So, of course the brother is more so gonna side with the police. The police just did a poor job at handling evidence allowing the defense to pluck holes and cause doubt

  16. The Canton police thought this case would be easier, especially if Karen would have committed suicide… there words.
