  1. Vampire!? How rude! Are people who have to work night shifts with no other time to sleep than during daylight hours vampires too!? Jeez, Crys! You're an adult! You should know better!

PS: "Sorry Nick, there is nothing special about it (Phoenix's badge)" Shot through the heart, and you're to blame!

  2. 3:57:04 is my favorite moment of this whole stream seeing the gushing over Edgeworth only to be brought back down to earth that it's legitimately bad news LOOOOL

  3. What do you think of the soundtrack so far? Now that you've finished the first game and got to hear loads of new songs in the sequel. It is the one thing in this trilogy collection that stayed relatively untouched. They of course re-drew all the Game Boy Advance pixel art in HD, remade the UX, even some minor script changes. But the music still has that chiptune vibe to it, which makes it feel nostalgic but also a bit antiquated. Or maybe a better way of putting it is that it's less in line with the remastering efforts that the visuals got. I adore the soundtrack for the DS version of these games, because the chiptune vibes fit the pixelated visuals and tiny handheld form-factor of the DS so well. But for this remaster I would have preferred it if the visuals remained pixelated, OR if the audio also got an overhaul like the HD redrawn graphics did. The mismatch between audio and video feels a bit off in this version. Ghost Trick remaster did a great job of updating both visuals and audio to give the remaster a cohesive new appearance. Great Ace Attorney Chronicles had a live orchestrated soundtrack that fits its setting, theme, and characters so well, and which didn't feel out of place after the transition from 3DS to modern HD platforms. Ghost Trick even included the original DS soundtrack as an option. I think for the PW Trilogy I would have preferred it if you could toggle back to the pixel graphics, to give more cohesion to the vibe of these games with their older soundtracks.

Of course, the most impressive thing about the soundtrack still remains intact no matter which version of the PWT you play. That deliberate direction of having the perfect song play at the perfect time, and then having the music cut out at the right moment to accentuate the drama with deliberate sound effects, screen flashes, screen shakes, text speeds, and character animations. That meticulous direction, especially in the use of music, makes these games so special. Not a lot of visual novel or adventere games put this much effort into capitalizing on storytelling in all the facets that the game has. These games were clearly made on a cheap budget, but the passion and talent that the developers had is immediately apparent and prevents these games from ever appearing as amateurish or low-effort. These games are a wonderful example of how to get as much juice out of so little assets and resources. How to make a masterpiece on a shoestring budget.

  4. This case could have finally ended with a not guilty verdict not having to find the true murderer for some reason, but Payne haaaaaaad to say something and hand us the person who clearly did it
