Real lawyer plays Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials and Tribulations the video game on Nintendo Switch – Act 2 Day 4 Trial Latter: Stolen Turnabout. In this video, I play through the fourth part of the trial latter of the second case while giving my reaction, providing legal analysis, and providing legal commentary.

In this case, Phoenix Wright must defend Ron DeLite as he is charged with the theft of the Sacred Urn of Kurain Village and, later, the murder of Kane Bullard.

Would you like to see me play another episode in the Phoenix Wright Series? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I stayed strong y'all…I did it for me. I did it for us. I did it…for Mask DeMasque

(don't forget to 👍🏽 the video!)

  2. 1:36:30 so is this double jeopardy stuff confusing and not really applicable? not only confusing for us non-lawyers… you too?

  3. In Japan, there is an ancient art called "Kintsugi" where they repair broken pottery, but instead of glue, they use melted gold.

The beauty of it is highlighted in it's flaws and inconsistencies.
The philosophy is that a person and their "flaws" are the same way, sometimes things we hate about ourselves are the very things that make us interesting to others.

There is a humble beauty in embracing imperfection.

  4. So, I counted 8 cups of coffee in this video! In the last video, I counted 7, so it's possible I double-counted one, so Godot probably did actually drink 14 cups of coffee.

  5. 1:20:36 This is an interesting Contradiction. The game actually has 2 avenues for the player to proceed. You can either (A) Press the Statement and Present the Newspaper Article at that point or (B) Present the Newspaper Article on the Statement itself to object to Atmey's statement, right from the get-go.

  6. An interesting case, I thought the stuff with Luke going from wannabe mastermind to actual mastermind was pretty cool. It seemed like his fatal mistake in the end was playing too much into his persona and saying one too many unnecessary words. It's terrifying to think that he absolutely would've gotten away with it if he just channelled his inner Moistcritikal with a "that's about it, see ya" and didn't mention anything else relevant to the case after his second-to-last testimony.

As far as one-case lore-irrelevant villains go, I think he was definitely one of the better ones, and unlike some other one-case villains he also had a constant presence throughout the case too and didn't just come in on the last investigation day or something, which I think definitely helped him feel more like a satisfying threat to take down (or watch you take down in our case 🤣)

  7. 17:20 No remotely sane criminal, in posession of all relevant facts, would ever enlist Larry Butz as their accomplice. Atmey's complex scheming sure wouldn't: the sheer incompetence of Larry is such a massive wild card that no one would want this man near it.
Also, did anyone else see how the Publicity Photo had bizarre hot pink shading on Mask*DuMasque's side, and think that it was somehow connected with the paint on the floor? That weird visual choice had me mentally chasing a red herring for the whole case when I played this the first time.
Finally, disregard everyone saying that case 3 here sucks. This is a GREAT case.

  8. Congratulations on finishing this case! 🙂 I agree with you, I'm personally not a fan of this case and it surprises me when I read other people enjoy it that much. To me Ron, Luke and Desirée are some of the least interesting characters of the 3rd game (and Ron is specially annoying to me) and I find the larceny plot a bit boring and the murder of a random CEO comes out a bit forced to me. I personally enjoyed the next case a lot more as it had a more interesting premise and fun characters, but to each their own 😉

  9. Congrats on making it through the case! I know a lot of people don’t like the third cases of ace attorney games but I really like this next one and I feel like (and hope!) that you will too! Can’t wait to see you play it!
