Real lawyer plays Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials and Tribulations the video game on Nintendo Switch – Act 2 Day 2 Investigation: Stolen Turnabout. In this video, I play through the second part of the investigation of the second case while giving my reaction, providing legal analysis, and providing legal commentary.

In this case, Phoenix Wright must defend Ron DeLite as he is charged with the theft of the Sacred Urn of Kurain Village and, later, the murder of Kane Bullard.

Would you like to see me play another episode in the Phoenix Wright Series? Let me know in the comments!

  1. oh, i just remembered, there was a bit with Larry after clearing his psyche lock where if you show him Ron's profile I think, he confesses he tried being interested in men, but it didn't work out. so congrats to Larry to be the only absolutely confirmed canonical straight man in AA.

  2. 13:44 let’s not get ahead of ourselves, it could just as easily be the viewers being more respectful of spoiler avoidance or your mods doing a crack job 😂

  3. this second case gave me the strongest headaches since i had to align that jar in rise from the ashes, it has no right being so confusing lol. i really love it though

  4. I do like how Maya and Phoenix have so very much almost developed a sibling relationship. They will absolutely roast each other but if anyone else tries to join in they won't survive the outcome if they're outside the friend group.

I also fully appreciate Gumshoe patiently waiting for Maya to be all comfortable and happy in the CEO's chair before pointing out the victim sat there before dying.

The reason for the box I think would be that you needed to prove that it was broken here. You see Phoenix tracing the path as you pick the evidence. The urn was broken, the urn was broken in the box, the box was in the pink paint, which was in the Lordly Tailor Basement. Therefore the urn was broken in the Lordly Tailor basement. I guess the game logic is presenting the urn is incorrect because it's already 'on the stage' so to speak.

  5. 2:04:14 the reason presenting the urn is wrong is because it doesn't link the pink paint to Lordly Tailor, since it could have been smeared with pink paint somewhere else. The box, on the other hand, is proven to have contained the urn, meaning if it got stained then the urn got stained at the same time

  6. I have a friend like Larry, he's just as bad I swear. Thinks he's some smooth operator, but he's really cringe worthy most of the time XD

  7. At this point I'm glad you didn't stand any close to Larry. Dude is going to drain your sanity faster than you can spell his first name.

  8. I'm not sure why Maya thinks Gummy is so mean spirited. We all know he's the opposite 99% of the time!

  9. I gotta give my opinion i just wish this case stays as larceny case, adding a murder seems outta nowhere plus the case title is literally "The Stolen Turnabout"

  10. Yupyup I can personally confirm I wake up every day wishing I was even half as cool as Godot

  11. Phoenix reaaaaaaally needs to find better friends because Larry… isn't it. How did this man even get a job as a SECURITY GUARD. Whoever is doing the vetting for this company needs a new day job.

Also, I LOVE presenting random profiles to people in this game, you find out so many things you never knew before (like presenting Mia's profile to Gumshoe)! Like you presented Godot's profile to Desirée Delite, I had NO IDEA she had unique dialogue there, and i've played this game so many times! This is why I love this playthrough, I find out so many new things!

  12. It's interesting how the murder and the theft happening at the same time in two different locations has a lot of parallels to Rise from the Ashes and how you had to figure out how the same person was apparently murdered in two different places at the same time. I know RftA was made after this game so they might've used this case as inspiration
