  1. One of my most treasured cinema experiences was seeing the live action movie Ace Attorney. The screening room was packed and the whole audience was super invested and communal as we were laughing together the whole time. Next get a Korean lawyer and react to some Korean legal drama e.g. Extraordinary Attorney Woo.

  2. “What is Maya doing at the table with him?”

In this case, she was the original defendant, which is how her and Phoenix meet. When Phoenix proves her innocence in the first day of the trial, he becomes the suspect, but my understanding is she is still at the table because this is technically her trial.

After this, she becomes his assistant, which is why she stays at the table in future cases.

  3. Entertaining video, it automatic thumbs down due to the AI art. Please have actual humans do the work, and don’t use plagiarism machines.

  4. "Naruhodo Ryuichi"…… I know almost nothing of japanese, but is he actually named "Ryuichi I-unerstand"? I know every name in the game is a pun, but this one ain't subtle at all XD love it though

Edit: Also I feel like this would be a fun series… since there is no damn thing that cannot be one-upped in this series "The prosecutor isn't dressed properly" Just wait till you get to the cyborg "The witness isn't acting properly" Just wait until you get to the clown "This is completely rigged" YOU THINK?

  5. You should get more lawyers from different countries, maybe with different judicial systems, to talk about something relevant.

  6. @LegalEagle Why is all the art AI generated? you literally didn't have to do this, and it's a big blow to the art community. Please reupload the video with actual artists's work and not stolen dead corpses that need to resemble art.

  7. Maya literally threw an object that could cause minor injury especially at the speed it was thrown, and she blackmailed (i know it was spirit channeling, but surely she'd be held accountable, they cant necessarily pin a crime on dead person. because someone summoned the dead victims spirit) a witness, surely this would've stopped the current case and she would've at the very least been asked to leave, and Pheonix Wright would've likely been in huge trouble for 1. allowing a regular citizen to be in the lawyer's area and 2. letting that regular citizen commit crimes in the court house. that's gotta be grounds for lawyer license suspension in any country.

  8. This kinda gives me idea for a video – what about most interesting cases with defendant representing himself?

  9. I’m begging you to do this but with a French Lawyer and Anatomy of a Fall. Coming from someone with a little understanding of the American trial system, some of the stuff in that movies seemed bonkers to me, and I need to know if it’s an absurdly dramatised and unrealistic depiction of how murder trials work in France.

  10. Out of all professions there are, a lawyer using AI art for his videos has got the be one of the most shameless things ever…

  11. Really funny to see people complaining about the Insta anime filter that’s been a thing for 5 years.

  12. Could this be the start of a series of videos comparing the US court system with others around the world?

  13. This is interesting to see, sure, but one thing that's really fleshed out in the games is that yes, things are really stacked against the defense. If I remember correctly, it takes place during a time where they completely overhauled the justice system to just pump everyone through trials to just say on paper that they gave people their due justice, but really they just want to get quick conclusions/convictions. We know it's unfair in game, and there's lots of discussion of changing the system in later games.

  14. This video is just more evidence proving that just because you technically can do something doesn't mean that you should do it.

  15. Most Japanese law tends to lean towards litigation rather than criminal justice. Mostly division of assets and compensation cases. There’s very little violence in Japan but divorce is becoming more common and claims of monetary compensation are on the rise. Real Japanese criminal cases are always one sided as these cases are always very quick to deal with as the national courts don’t want be tied up too long in paperwork so it’s usually a quick verdict and prison time and possibly the death penalty if something truly horrific happened.
