You never had cheese scone as a Brit???? How were you able to avoid it? It's super common, and of course you put butter on it. Also, yes, there's fruit scone, cheese scone, but the other you are referring to as' savoury' is called evereywhere 'plain' scone, not savoury, as it's actually not savoury! How often do you guys go to a bakery/ cafe?😂

The end of the bread certainly has a name in the french language and this is croûton.
As a Danish nipper in't 70'ies I learnt' mi Yoksha dialect when me Ma watched Emmerdale (Farm) on t'telly. Reckon that's naut much to prattle on 'bout.
