Officers do this all the time. i had a cop pull me over and ticket me, then recommend that i fight the ticket in court, prefacing that statement by saying he would deny ever saying it. i told that to the judge when asked why i was challenging the ticket, and the judge said that he didn't want to hear about that.

6. She claims she doesn't remember their conversation yet claims she never said something that the lawyer probably directly quoted her on after hearing her say it in her body cam footage.
