This Police officer lost a fire fight with a squirrel
On November the 12th, 2023 police were called by a woman stating her boyfriend, Marquis Jackson, had committed grand theft auto.
Jackson showed up to the scene and was swiftly searched, cuffed and put in the back of the police vehicle. The victim then told police that Jackson had a silenced weapon, prompting Deputy Hernanedez to conduct another search of Jackson.
However, upon reaching the passenger side door he thought he heard a shot, dropping to his knees stating…..
He then unloaded into the patrol car where Jackson was cuffed and seated, with his partner seeing the commotion and doing the same.
It turns out no initial shot was actually fired but instead an acorn landed on the top of the patrol car making a ping sound, likely caused by a squirrel in the tree above.
Luckily nobody, including Jackson, was hurt but Deputy Hernandez ended up resigning a month later. Nonetheless, both deputies were cleared of any criminal wrongdoing.

no charges against "girlfriend " for false report and or abuse of first responders resources.
Since this was 2023 what IS man's verdict and sentence ?

I smell PTSD. Officer should have been put on desk duty, not quit, and given help. The police must be full of Vets, and the military should be providing support for exactly this kind of thing through the police administration.
