  1. After hearing the victim testify and hearing what the parents wanted to do and not to do, the parents made 2 bad decisions. The first bad decision was not to institutionalize the son after all the harm he was causing due to his mental health. The second bad decision was to keep him in that tiny, cramped room. The son would have had better care, less stress, and more open space if he was institutionalized.
If I was the judge or jury, I'd decide on a deal based on the son's mental issues and the parents' bad decisions. Instead of 3-5 years in prison, I'd recommend 18 months in prison with a fee of about $3,000 to $5,000.
So I find the parents not fully guilty or to blame. It's a combination of the son's mental health and the parents' 2 bad decisions.

  2. Defence was hopeless in this case, most kids do get in trouble & do things they shouldn't yet the defence thought this behaviour of the parents was OK …. I pity any children the defence lawyer has.

  3. He needed to testify the hell they experienced, their other children were in danger. He was out of control, and the testimony showed a bad attitude!

  4. 4:33 That attorney is a disgrace how she was blaming this kid when he was just mirroring all he was living at home every day with his parents, nothing he was learning was being kind, at his age he couldn't help it but rebellion.

  5. Parents may not be able to control their child and still shouldn’t treat them and talk to them the way they did on the videos. The boy obviously has issues but they can’t take it on themselves when their methods are obviously failing. Left unchecked that boy is gonna be criminal. Locking him in the garage and yelling at him is leaving him unchecked. He obviously needs professional help. You have to wonder though how much is because of their years of abuse. The mother herself said “own up to what you’re doing and try to fix the problem” but they won’t own up to their own mistakes with parenting

  6. Her husband should have put this poor child up for adoption part 2….it was simply Atrocious what Timothy did to this young man! He deserves way more time ….Time that hopefully she gets because she should have STOPPED him! let justice really be served at her trial.

  7. The kid should have been committed to a psych unit not a box in the garage. That’s just stupid…

  8. The evil adopted father and mother should serve 20 years in jail that's the time they will lear there lesson 5 years sentence is an embarrassment

  9. Judging the judge – your previous suger senticing to Timothy clearly effected your reputation, and you're going to play hard ball. Better late than never.

  10. 😆 father isn't doing well in a box……well well well. The only difference between the so call father and the son is the boy recieved complete darkness and a bucket to urinate and no ac. At least u got that better than the son.
