19. Everyone, jesus christ, you must provide your license if you are the driver. This took me like 20 minutes to look up. I looked at multiple sources. Here's the penal code they mention in the video:

    (a) A person commits an offense if he intentionally refuses to give his name, residence address, or date of birth to a peace officer who has lawfully arrested the person and requested the information.

    (b) A person commits an offense if he intentionally gives a false or fictitious name, residence address, or date of birth to a peace officer who has:

    (1) lawfully arrested the person;

    (2) lawfully detained the person;  or

    (3) requested the information from a person that the peace officer has good cause to believe is a witness to a criminal offense.

    (c) Except as provided by Subsections (d) and (e), an offense under this section is:

    (1) a Class C misdemeanor if the offense is committed under Subsection (a);  or

    (2) a Class B misdemeanor if the offense is committed under Subsection (b).

    (d) If it is shown on the trial of an offense under this section that the defendant was a fugitive from justice at the time of the offense, the offense is:

    (1) a Class B misdemeanor if the offense is committed under Subsection (a);  or

    (2) a Class A misdemeanor if the offense is committed under Subsection (b).

    The only thing it states is how they are committing an offense by not providing their licenses. The cop probably just gave up because it wasn't that serious and they were being troublesome.

    Stop blindly trusting random videos on the internet. Almost everything on it is staged or manipulated content. In fact, don't even like or dislike the video. Don't comment either. The algorithm apparently just looks for engagement so doing any of that just makes these videos get seen more. I know I'm commenting but I have to hope this comment convinces people. Believe it or not, most cops actually know what they are doing.

25. The cop wants their information so that they can make up some more charges and send them in the mail hoping that people will just pay the tickets and not fight it in court. Or if they do find it in court then the court makes money off the fees even if the citizen is found totally innocent he still has to pay.

31. The cop tried TWO ways to get their IDs: First saying it was about a *parking* infraction (claiming he needed the ID to issue the warning, but PARKING infractions are left on the vehicle – no driver's license necessary), then claiming he needed to document who he spoke to.
    Neither of those claims are lawful or valid. If he actually needed to ID the driver to issue a parking citation/warning, he would be required to WAIT next to every illegally parked car to speak to the driver.
