New Criminal Laws To Come Into Force From July 1, Laws Replace IPC, CrPC, Evidence Act. The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, three revised criminal laws, are scheduled to come into effect from July 1, 2024, as per a notification from the Ministry of Home Affairs on February 24. Introduced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, these laws will replace the existing British-era criminal laws and were passed in the Parliament during the Winter session.
