1. while it's likey that the Bakla network has been active in getting large numbers to flow into Bkk it can't be ignored that there might be some organized effort as well. Good on them for doing SOME thing about this. Also happy to see Phuket starting to address "tourists" working as taxi drivers, tour organizers, rental agents etc.

5. Call me cynical ( or just being a realist ) but it looks like dirty money and payoffs is involved as this is a well understood arrangement. These transsexuals fly in and stay a limited time and are then rotated out, probably heading for another destination in the region for their next assignment. The irony that a country where prostitution is illegal, you have so much prostitution and authorities turn a blind eye.
   When other visitors on tourist visas have to prove they have means and funds to stay for their "holiday" duration, I am sure these ladythings get a free pass. I would say, pull the other one, or in their case, the middle one.
