  1. Why would Alex have killed Chad for insurance before he and Lori were even married? Prior didn't think that one through.

  2. It’s not our laws that attack religion, it’s the Christian right that’s attacking us. Just look at how the religious zealots in the Supreme Court have shamelessly taken away rights of women, people of color and voting rights for the marginalized communities and violence and discrimination against the LGBTQ communities. So, please spare me the “freedom of religion” whining. The Christians have all the rights in this country. They even blatantly snub their nose at the “separation of church and state”.

  3. I never heard Chad say he wanted to gather the sick and elderly. He seemed a lot more interested in gathering hot babes. And religious freedom is fine until people start dying….and being buried in the back yard.

  4. Chad knew he was in trouble.… they were looking 👀 in the property, and the silence from Lori was palpable!

  5. Prior knows Chad is guilty even if Chad didn't actually commit the murders. Prior is just trying to defend a no-winner.

  6. Its interesting to me that Prior starts talking about an Agreement for Conspiracy but then goes a little further and says An Agreement to Commit A Crime, and then goes into what the definition of an Agreement is…Didnt Yanetti or Jackson in the Karen Read Trial just ask and talked about this "agreement" and what its defintion was ect…???🤔🤷‍♀️

  7. I have to say… Prior is a Master Class on how to defend a guilty person! I believe his intent was to lessen the terms of Chad’s incarceration. I feel he knew Chad was going to be guilty.

  8. Pryor is WRONG!,! These are not”traditional LDS “beliefs. This idea that they want to protect the church is reasonable to me as a member. These teachings from Chad are in no way taught by the church. There are no secrets that Chad is bring up to make members uncomfortable. He makes us angry because he is preaching false doctrine and representing himself as someone in authority to speak for the church. Far from it! Chad has twisted small bits of truth and turned crazy zealot religious fanatic. Besides I agree with Peter, this is not about religious freedom. Chad lied and Minulapulated people to believe him. Power sex and money!

  9. I enjoyed John prior’s closing statement. It was so absurd /nonsensical that I was literally laughing out loud.
“Let’s ignore this mountain of evidence against chad. He’s innocent. Dead bodies, dead schmoddies. Proves nothing”

  10. I wish the prosecution would have told the jury that the only reason chad hadn’t attempted to murder the other labeled dark people was because chad and Lori were imprisoned.
The murders suddenly stopped when they were removed from society

  11. One bad thing about having the trial 5 years after the crimes, is that the victims’ emotions are less raw. They’ve had time to begin healing. Those raw emotions probably impact the jury more.

  12. Thank you for helping me keep up while I was on vacation. Just returned from 18 days in Ireland. You need to take Whitney to see the most beautiful country and meet the kindest people in the world.

  13. I’ve followed this case from the first blip on the radar, so I have been convinced that Chad is guilty. However, I have to say Prior started out strong and did a good job. I got a little worried about the jury getting confused, but he didn’t keep it short as he promised and past the one hour mark, he got lost in the weeds. He ended up looking more desperate and his case looked more like a big mess he threw at the wall to see if anything would stick. Was Chad a target? Of a murder? With a paintball gun? Poof. We’ve heard for weeks that it was a paint ball gun. He shot himself in the foot. Glad the jury wasn’t confused.

  14. Also, how can he bitch that out of all those texts the prosecution only presented ones that made Chad look bad? Like dude, lawyering 101: you can present evidence too….

  15. Anyone else notice that the neighbor hearing a gunshot is not proof that a raccoon was shot…

  16. Family lawyer or criminal lawyer either way its sad that whatever they did those beautiful kids are dead. I wish they were safe with their loving grandparents ❤️❤️

  17. You gotta listen to the patriarchal blessing on normal speed though, to get the full, hypnotic effect

  18. Peter, really appreciate your channel! You cover cases for BOTH those who couldn't watch it all, in addition to those that do watch the entire trial. A great skill you have.

  19. I say quilts all the way , they both end up in Hawaii. Him and Lori need to stay locked up

  20. For some reason, I feel bad for JP at times because this is an extremely difficult case to do alone… but I find him very condescending! I thought he made a few good points, but overall, not a great closing, He didn't sway me at all!Thank you, @thelawyeryouknow for everything you
    that you do..xx hydie ❤
