Now they are going to be wards of the state for decade. The state is making an example of them. WIll they do this also to the mothers of gang bangers, black and brown who shoot up their neighborhoods? Or is this a punishment reserved only for white parents?

9. I'm glad that this sets a precedent for things like this in the future maybe just maybe more parents will open their eyes to what is going on with their children.

10. I don’t think the judge made an example. I think the judge said it perfectly, the parents had opportunity after opportunity to make different choices as Ethan’s parents. There was incident after incident which if they would’ve taken ONE seriously, most likely -four teens would be alive, one depressed teen would not have a life sentence and two pretty shitty parents wouldn’t be facing 10-15yrs. Are you ok with your child going to school with classmates whose parents think it’s ok to have an unlocked deadly weapons in the home? Why is it so terrible these parents are being held accountable? Would you feel differently if you were identifying your dead child because of another parent’s negligence?

Pretending that your son’s voices and visions are a game he plays did that. Texting him LOL to not get caught at school over the bullet thing did that. Not telling the school he had a gun did that.

    People should need licensing to have children. Ongoing education on child development should be required. If parents don’t keep up their license requirements then they pay a stiff fine. Every parent should meet requirements, including step-parents. Heck. Maybe they lose their DRIVERS license if they don’t maintain their parenting license. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
