  1. I saw a comment that popped up during the live that questioned if the people who think Ashley is a liar watched the case on TV beforehand. This was an interesting question to me – I watched several tv shows covering this case pretty soon after it happened. When the case got to trial, I recognized the case immediately.

I remembered that following those tv episodes, I definitely felt she was guilty, but intentionally didn’t refresh my recollection of the case pre trial. So, when the prosecution rested, I was pretty stunned by how little evidence I felt was even presented to convince a jury of her guilt, much less any convincing evidence. I didn’t feel like we’d gotten anywhere close to proving this was a killing done with a depraved mind. I’m sorry, but “apologizing” for discharging a weapon inside a home to intentionally terrify her doesn’t mean Ashley’s fear should disappear. I’m appalled by some of the “she wasn’t abused! A victim would never do ____!” Especially considering it was textbook abuse survivor behavior. What a mess.

  2. I have a sister that was in a horribly abusive relationship (he put her in the hospital 3 times), she learned the hard way to never EVER be alone with him. If she had any awareness that he would be around, usually for their kids, she'd either not be around, or she would have witnesses with her. It makes no sense to me that, were she actually in fear of her life or her safety in any way, she would have kept her mother and daughter there as witnesses, had a neutral 2rd party around, never be alone with your abuser if there is any possible way you can mitigate it. Why not call 911 when he body checked her? Call the neighbor Nextdoor?

  3. Also, the one-way to most definitely lose custody of your child is by going to prison for a murdering your child’s father.

  4. His lawyer was impeached. Ashley‘s lawyer read emails. The report actually didn’t have a date that it was going to be released. Ashley‘s lawyer read email exchanges between the parties. As a matter of fact, Ashleys concern was being retaliated against should report painting in less than favorable light.

  6. I was in an abusive relationship… together several years & engaged. While it was mostly verbal, knives were displayed at times. (Which is more than Ashley went through) I finally kicked him out of MY house. Well, guess what… we're friends online, smile & hug when we run into each other in public & he has even come over to catch up & hang for a bit. Just because a relationship was abusive DOESN'T mean instant fear forever!! FERRIS WAS VERY WRONG ABOUT THAT!!🤨😤 I have NO problem with my ex… we have grown & gone on with our lives but are still in contact & don’t hold animosity for the past.

  7. I believe Ashley had a plan, mom to baby left to park, Ashley went to call Doug to back room to help carry something, he came to the door & BOOM!! Four pulls of the trigger. THIS was not a moment of Doug suddenly being violent towards her… period.

  8. So I watched everything in real time… came back to see Peters reaction – I’m only part way through & but have to say I have the same feelings since Day 1. The moment Peter heard this woman was "abused" he hasn’t thought anything different… that’s his SOLE focus. Forget the 3 years apart, all the frivolous filings, proven lies shes told… she’s a frail tormented scared ABUSED woman & DOUG CAUSED ALL THIS!! He has put ZERO fault on Ashley throughout this trial. I hope by then of this video, he says something different but I seriously doubt it. 🤨😒

  9. They only cry when the questions are hard. The easier questions there’s no crying at all! Not to mention NO TEARS AT ALL!

  10. All the husband had to do was intimidate her and it will bring back all of the abuse that he’s already done to her. But it all comes back in one wave!

  11. I think her Body Language hurt her the most! I feel like her abuse was text book but the lack of tears really got to me.

  12. I was 100% NG BUT after the closing arguements I was 100% Guilty! They couldn’t have lined it up any better than they did!

  13. It shows how manipulative she is and she had no intentions of getting back with him. She said she would take care of it herself. That’s exactly what she did!

  14. I'm probably the odd one out here, but I felt she was guilty the entire time. She's very reminiscent of Amber Herd to me.

  15. I think you’ve got it wrong on this one. The states opening rubbed you the wrong way, and your commentary since then has been colored in that negative light.
I’m a DV survivor, I’ve been terrorized, beaten and stalked. And I didn’t have support of a safe place 5 hours away. I was in MD, my family was in CA. I had 24 hrs to get out and I did. I went into hiding.
What I didnt do was decide to have him reverse the vasectomy during the time when he was being violent (firing a gun in the house, hitting the dog, throwing a loaded gun at me). She was out in another state!! But getting pregnant after a reverse vasectomy, and say they weren’t trying to get pregnant???? Uhhh 🙄 ??? Make it make sense 🤷‍♀️
I didn’t play pretending to be in love to him. I got away and stayed away. I believe the jury did get it right.

  16. I cannot believe the amount of Supporters of Ashley Benefield follow you in YouTube! It’s scary and disturbing! Men are also victims of DV! Ignorance is a bliss!

  17. I like your ideas and expertise as an attorney in Florida, BUT, I can’t believe you sided with a liar- manipulator- dramatic- narcissist woman! Real victims of DV are suffering from her performance. Now, my job got even worse to help survivors of DV in Florida

  18. I’d love to know how @Sallie Kribbet had statements from the jury before a verdict was announced. 🤔

  19. tommies having a 30 yr younger wife is gross and i wonder if eva is sitting next to her old man boyfriend?

  20. He apologizes. That takes away the abuse. The amount of times my ex apologized and then abused me hours later but yup his apology means he didn’t mean it. He was stressed.

  21. the job is justice not win at all costs & lie about evidence that wasn’t even presented in court. Lawyers take an oath- to take not present things that they don’t believe are “honest and true” . So there are rules they are supposed to follow- it’s not negotiable

  22. I wonder if the jury was from manatee county or high class Lakewood Ranch who already think they are better than everyone
