In the Young Thug / YSL trial on Monday (April 29), Shannon Stillwell’s lawyer Max Schardt was first up, and he got into it with Lakea Gaither, who retired in 2020 as an investigator with the Atlanta Police Department,

Gaither was the lead investigator into the 2015 shooting of Dexter Montgomery, which is the basis for seven of the 191 overt acts supporting the racketeering (RICO) conspiracy charge against Young Thug, Stillwell and their four co-defendants, Rodalius Ryan, Deamonte “Yak Gotti” Kendrick, Marquiavius Huey and Quamarvious Nichols.

  1. The witness is being disrespectful and shard should have asked the judge to direct the witness to answer the specific question being asked and when she didn’t and just made a general blanket statement asked for it be ruled as non responsive! This witness is here to answer questions and not tell the lawyers what is relevant and what they can ask, and since the state likes to ask these witnesses questions about why they are not being polite to them when answering questions but being polite to the defense, the defense should do the exact same thing to these witnesses who are being cooperative with the state but not the defense to show their motive and how unreliable they are! The defense should point out they feel this witness is not being honest because they want to meet with the state and not them and that they targeted their clients, not to mention this witness should be treated as hostile the way she acted with shard and is not credible and should be charged with perjury since she continues to lie on the stand! A mistrial should have been granted when she said to shard your trying to act like YSL members didn’t shoot this guy in the head when he investigation was not in anyway thoroughly completed, defense don’t have all of the reports she has testified to writing, she clearly is making conclusory statements presenting them as facts, and if you don’t know everything about YSL especially all of these easily searched public information concerning album cover art just as one point I noticed how can you be considered an expert and give an opinion on what that album cover represents and you don’t even know who came up with it, the artist logos involved in the album, or how much input thug or any so called YSL member had putting it together! It should be illegal for this witness to give testimony on what she thinks when she clearly didn’t investigate any of these important details to make any conclusions! This judge, the whole Atlanta DAs office, and gang task force needs to be thrown in the trash 🗑️ They clearly didn’t do enough to be up here speaking to the jury and giving opinions when peoples life’s are at stake! What a disgrace the taxpayers need their money back to pay for people who can properly do the work and are not out for convictions but for justice and making logical decisions that are factual not just driven by what opportunities they can gain for themselves and putting on a front like their making a difference in crime! I could go on forever, today’s proceedings pissed me off so bad! 😂😂😂 RANT OVER!

  2. Sharp is such a boring attorney… he needs to speed up his questions and be more direct with his questions….

  3. the state will ask the same question 100 times and the judge will say "you must answer the question" – but this witness can make a broad statement to cover all questions with no problem from the judge
