    Every trial I have watched..when a witness is still on the stand..at the end of each day the judge will let him or her know to NOT DISCUSS the case with anyone..not even his lawyer..the state..his mom..etc..you get the point..Why isn’t this judge doing that to Woody?!? And why does it seem like Woody is still sworn in and on the stand but is still able to discuss his case with people..hence these ex parte meetings..and maybe other meetings we don’t know about..

29. Judge Granville is exercising exercising Ex Parte is a clear violation of the witness; Mr. Copeland Fifth Amendment Right. Since Mr. Copeland a witness in the Uoung Thug and ET AL; had previously taken the witness stand and pleaded his Fifth Amendment Right;
    When judge Granville held an Ex Parte meeting behind closed doors, knowing Mr. Copeland had already pleadedthe FifthAmendment, judge Granville and the prosecutor, conspired to violation Mr. Copeland Fifth Amendment.
    Jydge Granville knew the witness Mr. Copeland attorney was not present, nor were councils for the defense present.
    Further Judge Granville allowed an unknown attorney sent by Mr. Copeland original attorney to attempt to represent him, even though Mr. Copeland had not consented to said council.

31. For those expressing a loss of trust in the judicial system, I want to point out that this is just one bad judge. He doesn't represent the entire justice system. And while what he's doing is dead wrong, it will take time, but it will be righted…and that's actually the judicial system at work. Does this system always work perfectly? Probably not. Does it always get it right? I'm sure the answer is no. Then again, in what area of our lives are things always right? Although it seems apparent that there is some serious reform needed in this and other jurisdictions, there are still a lot of excellent and ethical judges, and a lot of other people within the system of justice that work really hard to make sure our laws are upheld, and people's rights are protected.
    If you watch a lot trials, you will also see really good judges doing everything they can (thinking of Judge Jennifer Darrow and Darrell Brooks) to keep things within the letter of the law, even when doing so seems almost impossible.

    Having said that, I'm grateful that this trial has been so widely covered and watched. I'm glad the world is watching. This judge's behavior needed to be exposed. And watching him lead with his ego rather than good judgement and the law really is discouraging. His conduct is a disgrace and a travesty. But again, he's only one. And I'm sure there are many judges who have seen this and would not choose him as the official representative for their vocation.

32. Here is the deal.. the court is in cahoots with the prosecution team to convict criminals. The court is not unbiased, it does not protect the defendant. The courts everyday interaction with the "good guy" prosecutor. There is an inherent bias against the defendant by the court. The game here is to never dismiss a case. Always make sure the defendant has the financial and emotional burden to end the "nightmare" of being on trial and paying attorneys. The hope is that even if there is eventually a successful appeal, make sure the whole process is expensive as possible so that on round two the defendant may consider a plea.

There have been plenty errors. the judge rulings against defense attorneys. The judge has been very disrespectful to Attorney Steel. In front of Jury's. I have taking criminal justice classes and this court is wild.

44. I am a 68 year old Brit who loves her youtube. I started watching family vlogs but soon got interested in the true crime sites. One thing that I have heard over and over again is that most U S citizens feel that USA have the best and fairest judicial system in the world. I have to say this Judge is managing to make Justice look ridiculous. I have watched enough trials to know this is not the norm. Just stick a silly wig and a red nose on this crooked judge and send him to the circus. By the way I love this site Peter and have found your explanation of what is going on really helpful.
