  1. I don't see how he can just accuse an entire community of being incapable of judging a case based on the evidence.

  2. The manhunt for the psycho impacted this whole region. It was really scary. They need to move it because it’s DP, small jury pool, the closeness of the high school, college events lack of lodging, limited time allowance for trial(just summer???), looks impossible to me. This needs to be tried in a large city. Even staying in Idaho will be challenging to find an unspoiled jury. The further away you get the more likely someone hasn’t been watching the case. The FB group, just one has 225k plus members.

  3. It doesn't matter where he goes at this point. There's no way he can have a genuinely fair trail after all the nationwide media coverage of people like Nancy Grace outright saying he did it, as if she was there and knows for certain. The only thing on his side is the fact that the evidence is so flimsy it could be easily shut down with a good lawyer. The worst part is LE not looking into anything further because "they got their guy". I really don't think they did and that's not justice for the families.

  4. How long has your father been a criminal attorney? He seems extremely knowledgeable about literally everything! That was really cool to have him join you today! I would absolutely love to hear his opinion about what is going on with Sarah Boone and her revolving door of attorneys! Please if possible have your father join you the next time that your going to discuss Sarah Boone!

  5. You mentioned the mainstream media but you forget one of the reasons why we watch your show and not mainstream media is because you're more unbiased the media gets it wrong

  6. Might seem crazy now, but go through Ç O is normal. There was is a hub in CO. Unlike juries, criminals laugh people through. National and jjust waiting. Thanksgiving wasnt a surprise.

  7. What people forget is not everyone is on social media, and most certainly not following trails. More importantly, people READ the NEWSPAPERS every single day and many read the papers multiple times a day as the read each edition. People were far better informed years ago about current events, not just trending fashions. I would think even in a small town you could still seat a fair jury, but bringing in extras JIC makes sense. Hope Papa T is right and they don’t get to move as that community needs to be able to have the opportunity to see justice in action. Thanks!

  8. I'm from UK 🇬🇧 I've always disagreed with you lot going on TV prior to trials , detailing the prosecution and defence strategies, its biased . How do defendants get a fair trial with all the nonsense that goes on in the press and media, TV, radio prior to their trial 🤔 😳 no chance for impartial jury 🤔

  9. Watching on replay was working when it aired😢

Always love hearing from Papa Tragos and getting his insights.

Thanks Peter for getting dad to join in on this convo.

Papa T we need your insight more on the DP cases. Helping non legal people understand the process.

Love how you both explain stuff.

Again thanks for educating us all.

  10. Of course he can’t get a fair jury in Latah county. A majority of the public have a vested interest in finding him guilty, because their local economy depends so heavily on the university.

  11. Such a great team you two make. Such knowledge! Peter, you sure can see how proud Papa T. is of you. Heck, we’re all proud of you but as a parent, you can really see it in his eyes! Have a wonderful weekend and as always, thank you for all you do!

  12. They should not give into what ever Kohberger wants because it is part of his " getting away with the perfect crime" scam. He didn't get all of his education just to end up in prison. Shame on his lawyer.

  13. I really wish The United States would follow the rest of the world's lead and abolish the jury system. From my perspective it's insane that it's used. Forcing random laymen to decide someone's fate is beyond absurd to me

  14. In all honesty, I have very serious doubts Kohberger can get a fair trial ANYWHERE in the state of Idaho unless the jury is bused in from several states away. I wonder how much of the information (or speculation) surrounding this case that has been widely publicized and disseminated will be inadmissable in court. Those who have seen those reports can be asked to ignore anything inadmissible when making a decision, but the fact is one can never unsee those things and they likely will impact the verdict, especially with a local jury. Unfortunately, it may become quite difficult for a trial to be held in this case where the outcome is guaranteed to be justified and embodies true justice for all parties. Just imagine that the reality is that Kohberger is not guilty. If he's found not guilty, then so much valuable time has been lost and evidence destroyed that catching the real killer is likely now beyond reach and the family will feel cheated out if justice. If he's innocent, but found guilty on tenuous circumstantial evidence anyway, the familes and community will cheer, believing that they will extract their pound of flesh and justice has been done. So … whose demands do you satisfy? The community demanding a party to be punished (any party). Or a party who can never be proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt and one who maintains their innocence. My guess is a guilty verdict is inevitable, which will get the justice stamp of approval by most, so changing the venue or busing in a bigger jury pool will likely not make any difference. And by the way, I live in Taiwan and am well versed on this case … which drives my point home about the difficulty of finding a truly unbiased jury pool. I wouldn't want to be in Kohberger's shoes, guilty or not.

  15. I follow true crime, but if I bring it up to someone I know they don't know anything about this case. Just because it's plastered on media doesn't mean everyone knows about it. For example, my partner doesn't even watch the news. A change of venue is necessary, not only because of the small population, but also the town is centered on success of the university.

  16. I always assumed change of venue request would be step one. wonder what took so long? Then again- this has been followed internationally I think I heard- so where could they go? But I do feel being outside the community of U of ID makes sense and can be reasonably argued. I imagine for the purposes of eliminating a potential grounds for appeal- it would be granted also. No?

  17. Kohberger is enjoying throwing every monkey wrench he can for attention and delaying trial.
He’s incapable of feeling anything for the family’s of his victim’s.
People think he’s guilty because of dna, putting his trash into neighbor’s trash cans and driving around all night with no alibi.
He is no longer eager to exonerate himself. He’s enjoying being the puppet master of his defense team. He has no emotion. He is angry that he couldn’t commit the perfect murder. He didn’t expect he’d have to taken out 4 people. I’m so glad he cant correct his mistakes.
This is his last chance to feel he’s powerful, in charge and smarter than everyone else.
    I’m glad he’s in a cell. Period.

  18. Boo hoo! Bryan’s going to get away with this! Mark my words… Anne Taylor is going to keep postponing until the state just doesn’t have a shot! 😤🤬

  19. Ashley on news nation has done well on discussing bk. Also,YouTube channels such as Johnathon riches, from the day it happened to present.

  20. I went to U of I once upon a time. When this type of horror happens in your small community, it's difficult to keep your heart/emotion out of your mind. This would make it very difficult to keep an open mind. IMO they will change the venue to the capital city that has many suburbs to pull from. Latah County may have a few rural farmers who haven't heard of the case; however, I'm assuming there is some randomness required when choosing potential jurors.
How do the voir dire questions weed out potential jurors who SAY they can be fair and impartial yet they already have him pegged as guilty?
Does the venue have to stay in the state of Idaho?
Do the jurors have to reside in Idaho?
Will they sequester the jurors for this particular case? If they widen the pool in Latah county, they will be paying for hotel rooms regardless of sequestering. It is so rural outside of Moscow that jurors would not be able to commute home each night – – especially for the length of the trial that is predicted.
Will the judge and attorneys stay the same if the venue gets moved to Boise, 300 miles south of Moscow?

  21. Lewiston is the original state capital for Idaho, not a small place. Banana belt area. Attracts population. It's large, but everyone watches KLEW and are on top of the trial.
