  1. Is it a question of say ,if Ethan was discovered with the gun at school and did not use it, would there be a case for negligence because the gun was not secured?

  2. The school told the parents and Ethan they wanted him to get help that day if possible because they felt it was necessary. The mom said she could not take him out of school because she had to go back to work (which ended up to be not true). Ethan told the counselor that if he had to leave school, he would have to walk home and he would be home alone. The counselor being concerned that he could potentially hurt himself allowed him to stay because he didn’t want him to go home and be home alone. No one at the school was aware he had access to a gun, but the parents were fully aware he had access to a gun. Even if the parents did not think he would use the gun to shoot anyone else after viewing the math test and being told emails from the teachers any reasonable parent should be concerned about self harm in regard to their child. Knowing he had access to a gun, they should have taken him out of school and got him to help he needed that day and checked his backpack themselves.

  3. Granted I have no legal experience, but this question popped in my head:

The prosecution was able to have an “expert” witness testify to the contents of Ethan’s journal, putting defense at disadvantage because they couldn’t directly refute the contents of the journal without Ethan present to testify.

Why, then couldn’t the defense have an “expert” witness testify to that clip of Ethan’s statement before sentencing? (Maybe they could have, but if they could’ve I can’t see why they didnt.) What’s the difference here?

  4. Thank you this great video. 😁😘🫠🫠😁😘😘😄😆😄😘😆😁😘😆😉😜😆😉😆🤪😉😆🤪🤪😉😆🤪😉😆😉😆🤪😆🤪😉😜😆🫠😁😄😘😃😁😘😁😜🫠😁😜🫠😁😜🫠😜🫠😁😁😜🫠🫠😜😁 fy. Yf ygucgivh

  5. I would not. She is a terrible mother for sure but is responsible in any way for her son's actions because of it?

  6. The Columbine shooters’ parents were vilified. However they did not ignore & neglect Dylan & Eric they way the Crumbleys did to Ethan. Also, it was 1999 versus 2023. Hardly any social media. And the Crumbleys made blatant enabling mistakes with the whole world watching.

  7. Hmm a car isnt a weapon, you can use it as a weapon, but its not a weapon…you buy a gun (which is a direct weapon) for your child, they’re going to play with it…

  8. Gross disregard for his mental health when he was Begging them for help and sharing his hallucinations. Not providing secure medical insurance for him on
employee medical insurance….disregard for 9 dental cavities, locking him outside
in bad weather….I believe mental health when he begged for it reasonably could have prevented the deaths of 4 kids and life altering injury
No think the point is “ failed to provide preventive actions….leading to deaths
    Just my opinion

  9. If your kid texts you deamons are coming out of the walls, are you going to ignore that and let him have a gun?

  10. Bottom line is she did not secure the weapon or the ammunition and her minor son with mental health issues had access to it. That makes her accountable and guilty .

  11. I’m very torn with this case. I own guns and I believe that’s a human right but I do not believe that a child needs to own a gun or have access to it. I also believe that he was crying for help and parents.
Parents need to be held accountable, but this one is very hard. I just do not see the evidence to say that they knew something like this was going to happen. There’s no evidence that they saw his journal or knew what he was thinking. But there definitely were signs that they were missing with his mental health and they should’ve got him help. I just don’t know if life in prison is the just punishment.

  12. I’m still I shock she got guilty. I think her husbands guilty for buying the gun if anything…. I can see that being an issue and him giving it to Ethan to use when it was bought for him. But Jennifer just was a busy mom, working, may not of been 100% there…. But she would have never foreseen this. What’s crazy to me is the prosecutions case for Ethan was that he’s not insane, but for Jennifer was “how could you not see he had mental health issues”. It’s contradicting everything.

  13. Obese children is disturbing to me as the parents buy the food. No reason to set a kid up for health problems, bullying, not developing healthy coping skills etc. plus I can’t imagine the cost of over feeding kids.

  14. Sorry a teenager having a gun is not a problem. Everyone i knew in high-school had multiple guns. I mean mulitple.

  15. Rather have an AI be the jury. That way no feelings and emotions get invovled. Just facts evidence and the burden.

  16. I’m honestly completely shocked at this verdict I hope she gets a retrial because I truly don’t feel she got a chance in the eyes of the jury. The fact that the prosecution has to prove without a reasonable doubt that this was foreseeable. Hell no one that testified even imagined this would ever happen. The prosecution crossed the line in my opinion. The fact Ethan Crumbley wasn’t allowed as a witness isn’t right. That’s potentially exculpatory evidence as well. We are treating people like they are guilty until proven innocent in this case and I’ve seen it in multiple cases as well. I guess Karen can now continue her campaign for governor

  17. I’m still in the first quarter of the video,so maybe you get to this. But you were mentioning the facts one by one asking if that was enough for a conviction. All the evidence taken individually, no. When put all together, I would have voted guilty. The prosecution had to prove a series of events and pattern of behavior that lead the death of 4 kids. I believe they did that. As must as Jennifer knew, by the time she saw that drawing and had that meeting, knowing she was the last ADULT holding the gun, she should have known to stop home and check on the gun. Or she should have known to take him home. Call the office and take the rest of the day off. She had options. She took none of them. I see a woman more concerned about all this makes her look than the well-being of those victims.

  18. Yes the parents bought the gun for a christmas gift then a second i feel the parents are responsiple for this one

  19. I’m with you Peter, where does it end? Will it be religious freedom and choices next? Also, the school very much did know that he had access to a gun. The counselor testified to that in a prior hearing. He still thought that he should be around his peers w/o checking his bag. He’s a professional, the Crumbley’s were not. Crumbley’s listened to his advice and they got charged for it.
