If you watch cop body cam footage, you have likely heard cops gives unnecessary attitude to people, especially over silly situations like a broken tail light. Unfortunately, cops are allowed to talk to people like this, and it’s rare they get in trouble over it. In fact, it’s sometimes used as a police tactic to escalate situations in order for the citizen to get angry or commit more crimes.

In this situation, the officer used the 65-year-old’s honesty as a confession to write her an $80 ticket for a broken tail light, which she got upset about. This situation ended up with the woman running and getting lawfully tased.

  1. Okay it's clear little Missy has been given chance after chance to take care of a vehicle safety violation forn6months and has NOT dealt with it. The officer is being nice about it. Yeah he could have just written her a ticket and go on but seriously? 6 months? At something you need to do something. How long before that has she driven without being caught has she been driving the vehicle this way? Come one this conversation is not a bad thing. If she needed up being pulled out of the vehicle, then she escalated the problem with a smart mouth. That is clearly not in the vid.

  2. OMIGOSH! Getting tazed over a bad taillight?
Did she swing on him? pull a gun? Or does she have bad knees and couldn't sit on the ground so he could take her truck apart?

  3. I disagree… I watched the entire video….. The woman fled the scene and then refused to get out of the vehicle when he placed her under arrest…. Then she ran…. Watch the whole entire video. I'm not a supporter of the cops too much , but this vehicle should not have been on the road … They gave her 6 months of warnings. Plust the truck was not road worthy smashed in rear …. This is one of the few incidents where the cop was not being a dik.

  4. I still agree with the lawyer. Our rights are best PROTECTED by asserting them and just STFU. Obey their active commands. But after you assert your rights say nothing.

Even very expensive attorneys cannot save you if you talk!

  5. Well when you run into the same people doing the same nonsense over and over and over again you tend to get tired of their bullshit. And this officer has probably heard alot worse directed towards him then this chick is hearing from him. Then she committed a felony by evading. How bout people act right.

  6. Remain silent n, later, file a complaint with:
    Attorney General's Office
    FBI Color of Law Division
    News station

  7. I work for a police department. I was shocked and how all police officers act. I am ashamed.

  8. Cops may be asking do we really have qualified immunity. Fortunately for the people NO. they do not . THEY WILL LIE JUST LIKE ALMOST EVERY OFFICIAL IN THIS NATION AND TELL YOU THEY DO . ALL THE COPS AND MOST OTHER OFFUCIALS HAD TO DO WAS STAY TRUE TO THE OATHS THAT THEY ALL SWORE TO. NOW WE THE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO MAKE SURE THAT OFFICIALS ARE FOR SURE GOING TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. CORRUPTION SEEMS TO BE A PATERN FOR OFFICUALS .

  9. Her papers indicated the 6 month issue. Not her comments. I didn't believe in warning tickets. Nothing she said caused any more jeopardy than keeping quiet would have. Lawyer says it's "unfortunate" that cops have freedom of speech (that's certainly not abusive). Typical lawyer mentality.

  10. I’m sorry, but in the video did she not drive off, and then you cut it off to make the point that “all she did was talk which allowed the cop to escalate the situation”?

I just don’t get the point of trying to make every cop look bad, there are bad cops, but this cop was truthfully just doing his job

  11. The cop was giving her attitude? The cop was bringing up the fact that she's got multiple citations for this problem and won't get it fixed.

"Oh, one of our several dozen cars had a headlight out? Well according to our records, your only car has had a headlight out for several months. Our excuse is that we have several dozen cars to maintain. What's yours?"

  12. This grown ass man was so threatened that he felt the need to tase this unarmed old lady. This cop is not a "hero". He is a PUNK. This is the type of cop that if your business were being looted by rioters or your house got broken into and claimed by squatters, he wouldn't do a f****n thing to protect you or your rights. But if you ever had to defend your life with your fists or a firearm, he would throw you in jail so fast, you wouldn't even know it was happening. "Just following orders" he would say.

  13. Truthful don’t mean you don’t get any real consequences at that point your truth is just a excuse

  14. She escalated to the point of getting tased…all he did was use words and if you’re too sensitive that you escalate from someone giving a little attitude, then you shouldn’t even be behind the wheel driving…if words are that triggering and make you physical..imagine what a physical trigger will make the person do. Just comply and don’t argue…if the officer is truly in the wrong for whatever, that’s what the justice system is for. Comply and let the court give you justice
