Lesson to be learned by "some women" who are only out to ruin their ex spouse in Divorce Court, which is all slanted against the man from the beginning anyway:
"Don't chase the dog to the edge".
Why would you represent your new wife in a custody proceeding against her ex-husband. And why would the father represent his son. It gets too personal and heated when family is involved. this just proves it. Think about the kids before doing anything like this. The kids now have to live with this tragedy.

I hope this is a wake up call for all those ridiculous parents at war in courts. These people are not looking after their children’s interest but just using the system and their children to hurt the ex partner. Parents must be mature to move on from their hate and differences to grow their children healthy. Now this guy (the shooter) remember, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. He modeled the behavior his son (the ex-partner of Ashley) was displaying. Wake up people! Be a real grown up!

So why didn't they Arrest Joe son Dylan Houston, because I'm quite sure he had to have known what his dad Joe Houston was going to do, I'm quite sure they had talked about the situation really good before hand, Never the less they are still investigating exactly what went down, I'd say that there's just no way possible that Dylan didn't know what was going to happen, And if they find out thats the case lock Dylan up for Murder.
Obviously I don't know exactly what happened. But looking at this and how many lawyers in close relation were involved and how old the shooter was I feel like he potentially had something wrong with him that wouldn't let him live for long and knowing the laws as well as he did he decided to kill the mother and new husband in one motion and then kill himself, to avoid any questioning, knowing that the law would likely have to give the children to his son. This whole thing just seems too odd and done in such a way that will end up making his son gain custody by default.

Custody disputes are adversary proceedings and can be dangerous. Courts are dangerous too. You can be stalked, the most scary thing to endure is “will he kill me.” Lord care for these children mentally, financially and spiritually. 😢💔
I don't know the moms story but I'm willing to bet theres a good reason why he felt like there was no other way to protect them.

Yeah well we live in a society where the vast majority of men get completely destroyed by child support. Let’s lose the double standard and with my body my choice comes my wallet my choice. It was a matter of time for something like this to happen. All I see is a father taking a bullet for his son who was about to be destroyed by the ex and her new hubby.

On the day of the shooting, both Prince and Houston were present in court for a hearing on an emergency motion for sole custody of the children, filed by Ashley Prince. A judicial officer would grant that motion during the hearing.
Her new husband was representing her, you know, the guy she was cheating with that caused the divorce, he was helping her take the kids away from her former husband.
