Did Karen Read murder her boyfriend John O’Keefe by mowing him down with her car —maybe even intentionally? Or is she being set up by a corrupt law enforcement officials trying to protect their own?

O’Keefe was found dead in Canton, Massachusetts, in the front yard of Boston police officer Brian Albert. Prosecutors say Karen dropped him off at a party at Albert’s house and then hit him with her car.

  1. ??? Lee, can you go over some of the evidence the jury might have in their possession with us? I know they requested a document I think on the first or second day that was denied. Which brings me to why is ANYTHING that was discussed in open court denied to the jury to help them make a clear decision?

  2. She didn't hit him with her car to cause his death…..those charges are ALL moot points. This case is Shameful!! All those charges, regardless mean they think she hit him with her car. The evidence in no way prooves that.

  3. ??? Lawyer Lee, if the defensive pushed for that Allen charged & the jury found her guilty, wouldn't that be a reason an appeal setting up the judge & prosecution, ie to early in deliberations

    I still believe shes GUILTY@

  4. Bev, the judge, is very friendly with many of the Canton police and prosecution witnesses. I believe Bev should have recused herself.

  5. I just don’t get why the science didn’t close the deal right away. There must be someone, or you someone’s, you are denying the science, which I think is undeniable. It should’ve been the first day.

  6. this comments section shows why a hung jury is highly likely. Despite a real expert with a basic understanding of physica and maths showing why the verdict should be not guilty.

  7. Though I picked not guilty, I'm convinced that someone got on this jury. Someone is connected to the mcalberts in some way. There is no way this should be a hung verdict! Not guilty . Lost all confidence in our justice system. Can't trust anyone anymore these days. Even if they " don't see outside influence," though I seriously doubt that. The evidence is strong that JO wasn't hit by a vehicle.

  8. I don't think that the prosecution proved their case beyond a reasonable doubt. And I thought the defense did an excellent job. However, I question whether the defense went too far by trying to convince the jury of a contrary story line what frankly seemed a little far-fetched. Maybe it would have been better to just poke holes in the prosecution's case and stop there. That might've made things easier for the jury to consider.

  9. Greetings Lee from
    The UK 🇬🇧 😀
If there are jurors who believe Karen Read is guilty then they MUST not believe in science! It was proven that John was not hit by a car as stated by the medical autopsy, and the experts paid for by the FBI!
And if there was NO Car accident then there is NO case for Karen Read to answer for!
Are those jurors who believe she’s guilty part of the Flat Earth brigade???!
It makes no sense to believe she hit him with a car when his body shows no signs of being hit by a car!!
    It’s ludicrous.
I’m surprised this even got to trial.
And don’t even go there with the sham of an investigation that took place. That police force is either incompetent, or corrupt in that it was covering up for fellow police officers!
If she is convicted then it’s a travesty.
John O’Keefe’s family deserve the truth. And that truth may well be that corrupt police officers covered for each other, but that would be the truth.
My sympathies lie with his family, but the real criminals need to be held to account and charged.
A woman’s future life is on the line. And that is NOT to be taken lightly.

Science is science, and you cannot decide to throw that out of the window.

  10. I think the biggest mistake defense made was drilling into jury this was a set up and corruption. That is hard for some people to accept some cops are bad. They really didn’t need to go so hard on that. They should have focused more on reasonable doubt from evidence. I can see some jury members feeling like if they say not guilty they are implying the cops were bad…and that could make them feel not confident/good about there decision.

  11. Dirty cops . Dirty Judge . Dirty prosecutor. . Dirty Juror. And the fact. The mcalberts were there to intimidate. At the closing arguments. Says how much the FBI. Need. To get the cuffs out and start arresting

  12. Many countries have a majority vote for the jury; if the jury is not unanimous in a guilty conviction, the defendant is found not guilty.

  13. Does anyone feel the CW has come up with every charge they could find and this could be confusing the jurors. If they didn’t have so many charges to chose from the may have come up with a verdict

  14. The defense did their best to create doubt, but it came off as desperate, spinning out of context, and badgering witnesses to get frazzled answers. The main body of evidence is indisputable. There is no reasonable doubt in it. I'd vote guilty on the second charge of vehicular homicide while intoxicated, and for leaving the scene.

  15. The dog bites on the arm seal the deal for me. I truly believe this jury is struggling with calling this a coverup. If Karen is innocent, that is what they are indirectly saying and I think that is what is giving them heartburn.

  16. Canton MS might have a corrupt system going on here. Three of their police officers are involved in the possible staging death of a young woman who was found hanging and 3 months pregnant. The investigation was also a shoddy one. The baby’s dna wasn’t tested. Allegedly she was groomed by these three officers for years starting when she was a junior (high school) officer.

  17. Honestly I can understand why they might be so divided! I’m sure there are probably a lot of strong emotions going on! I hope this doesn’t become a hung jury though!

  18. It is clear that the longer the Jury is out the less Read's legal team are smiling & chatting between each other. Jackson looks positively uncomfortable. At close of play on Friday they declined to speak with the press when they left the court which they have always been keen to do so. They must realise that the Jury has not "bought into" the conspiracy theory.

  19. Appreciate you Lee.
The good news is that while Federal investigations can be painfully slow Justice is coming for the folks who have subverted the law in this case.
