This is also the argument he is making to his followers in preparation to act on the stress he is causing to their internal narrative and dialogue which he has been cuing up for the last several weeks by saying he is on trial for them forcing his constituents to view themselves on trial but since they are not gagged and he is their voice they are internally wondering why they can not speak, so to speak.
