My only issue with it is that when I’ve accidentally misgendered someone that and they make a big deal about it. A gentle reminder is fine, but when they use that mistake as justification to get angry or violent at me is where I draw the line.
I’m sure it gets tiring for them to constantly remind people of their gender but they have to understand that people slip up at times, particularly when they’re faced with a gender identity that they’ve never personally encountered before. I have trans and non-binary friends these days, but it certainly felt like walking on egg shells at the beginning.
