Today, we are looking at highlights from my interview of a juror in the first Dan Markel murder trial, involving Sigfredo Garcia and Katherine Magbanua. I did the interview in 2019, shortly after the trial concluded. This is part 1 of a new highlights series about that interview. No “reactions” allowed without prior permission from me.
Dan Markel was murdered in July of 2014. It took investigators almost two years to follow the evidence and to identify the suspects. By 2016, there were two suspects who carried out the hit – Luis Rivera and shooter Sigfredo Garcia. Luis was in federal prison on unrelated charges. Investigators determined that the murder was connected to Dan Markel’s divorce, and suspected that one or more people in his ex-wife’s family ordered the hit. Katherine Magbanua was convicted last year. Charles Adelson was convicted on November 6, 2023. Donna was arrested and is now sitting in Leon County Jail.

I would listen to all of your coverage on this saga but it’s annoying because you do not have good equipment (always sounds like echo) and then this music!!!! So hard to pay attention to the interview content.

This interview was so awesome to hear!! Congratulations on this interview…Its good to hear she saw through all of Wendy's lies ..If the jury could see through all their BS… Than if Wendy does go on trial…chances are they will also see how dishonest she is.
Great 9:07 interview but I couldn’t handle the music it was super distracting. Almost couldn’t listen to the rest of it.
So, there's quite a bit of misinformation that I would like to clear up. Wendi Adelson never drove up to the crime scene. She thought they were doing Landscape or clean-up work on Trescott Dr. and being that there had been power outages there in the past, she immediately turned the car around when she saw the tape "from a block away". She didn't even know a crime had taken place. Those are the cold hard facts. Wendi Adelson was not involved in the murder of her ex-Husband.
Interesting interview. Kinda nice to hear that a lot of what ppl who are following this case presume about the Adelson’s is being validated by someone who was a juror
I can’t lie, I do enjoy this insider info but I am glad this juror decided to at least keep their identity anonymous. I feel some type of way about some of these high profile cases having jurors/legal insiders write books. I don’t think that wave will bode well as time goes on
