One correction: at 46:48, you’ve mentioned ABATEMENT u/s 107, however the same is ABETMENT and there’s a very huge difference between the two.
INFORMATIVE FACT:
Recently the term abatement was discussed in the case of Gurmail Singh vs State of UP wherein it was held that the reduction of number in convicts through abatement is no ground for quashing charges under section 149, nevertheless, if convicts were reduced through acquittal the same is a ground for quashing the said charge.
Abatement means discontinuation of criminal proceedings due to death of an accused/convict in the course of such proceedings.
