33. I am Czech and I learn Russian language and while our languages are quite similar it is still very difficult. It took me years to learn English and even after high school when I thought I was on a decent level I still had to work so hard to understand things. We did not have internet back then so I could hear only my teacher speaking English. I thought I would understand everything on tv because I understood my teacher and then I found out how wrong I was when I heard the first English show.😂 Speaking is another thing. I can pronounce everything without any issue but I often can't remember the words I look for. The words that I know like my shoes and that I've seen thousands of times. It is all about practice. You want to speak? You have to speak. You want to read? Then read….. It is kinda scary to go all over the same thing when I know it took me soooooo long. I am trying to be more effective this time and really learn how to exactly pronounce things from the very start. That helps me also with understanding.
