Fremont County, Idaho prosecuting attorney Lindsey Blake discusses the Lori Vallow-Chad Daybell case and saga that began making international headlines in 2019.

The so-called “Doomsday Mom” and “Doomsday Prophet” are now both convicted in the murders of Lori’s two youngest children JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan, and Chad’s first wife Tammy Daybell. Blake was co-lead prosecutor in both trials for Vallow and Daybell.

She and her team were able to prove beyond reasonable a doubt to Idaho jurors that money, power and sex motivated the defendants to kill all three victims.

FOX 10’s Justin Lum reports.

  1. Miss Blake. Yes. Your points came out very clearly and you did so with surgical precision and integrity.

  3. Congratulations Ms.Lindsey You did a Phenomenal Job🎉You got it Right Sex,Money & Power.Chad wanted to create an occult Movement, That's why he wanted the Tent City& also attempted to manipulate his Brother in law,Mr.Wyrick,& His Neighbor as well, stroking & maniulating his ego,Suggesting he wanted to write a book with him.He thought he could Manipulate Ian as well.He Had Women Followers,But he needed men Followers.

  4. I think the towel was the murder weapon or a part of it yeah I really do believe that hummmm**

  5. Thank you for doing such an excellent interview. I thought Nate Eaton was the only one who did non sound bite interviews. Interviews where the interviewer isn’t obtrusive and allows the stories to be told so that we the viewer can gain insights into the person or story that only that particular interviewee can tell.

  6. I agree that having a "sound bite " catch phrase that will resonate with everyone, is very important; and with the jury it's almost necessary. In this era of social media, everyone has come to expect their news, or information, to be delivered in a succint, just the bullet points, kind of style.

Everyone interviewed that sat on the Chad Daybell trial, remembered that quote, and it stayed with them; so, when it came time for closing arguments, the Prosecution brought that phrase up again, and were able to explain how they had met the burden.

Just because the Defense decides to become kind of condescending and arrogant, and act as if everyone with any brains ought to be able to see his client is innocent, does not mean that approach will endear him to the jury. Then, when you add in, the stares at the jury, Chad smirking and shaking his head, and the fact that neither he nor his children acted in any way sorrowful that two children were found buried on his property, the case was won.

It reminds me a little of the Chandler Halderson trial. The prosecution there stressed how many lies he had told., and that everything his friends, GF, and parents knew about him was a lie, which is why he had to kill them, attempt to burn their bodies, and report them as missing. When the Defense tries to do their close, they make it sound like their client is a victim. The lies were no big deal, (because all kids lie), and even though some terrible things happened to his parents , he had nothing to do with it. It must have been an accident. The Prosecution's rebuttal indicates no one shoots themselves in the back., twice!!! And dismembers themselves

And then brought in their catch phrase from the opening statement: the lies ARE THE REASON all of this had to happen. Because The lies were all he had !! And he was willing to do anything to keep everyone he knew from finding out that he was just a college dropout, who had no job, no money, not even a car. Just a guy who never grew up and spends his days playing video games.

The prosecution on the Chad Daybell case was excellent; Brilliantly executed.

  7. Did you catch Chad get bashful from hearing his own voice, even hiding his response from his own lawyer; great work! All of you; but, Zulema, and the 2 Melanies should face some consequences

  8. Something about your voice Lindsay gave me peace when your turn to examine or cross .Really was an incredible work from all the team who made an extreme effort in this case to bring justice .. Tammy , Tylee ,JJ RIP in your eternal sleep justice was served .Waiting the justice for Charles and the surviving victim Brandon to be serve .

  9. The reporter needs to concentrate on making their questions less rambling and more precise. His questions are longer than her answers and he puts his own opinions into them. Ah well, he's young, he'll learn.

  10. Love Justin’s interviews from Aust and I often look for your interviews. Make your own channel Justin 👌🏽

  11. Lindsay. You’re an amazing person. You were here at the right time and place. Hoping you take some time to breathe now. Of course, we hope you stay in Fremont county, but we hope the best for you in whatever your future endeavors are.
