What happens when you tell the cops you weren’t afraid for your life after claiming self defense? You have an upward battle in court!
I had a client who was a decorated military veteran who won a fight someone else picked with him. He told the cops it wasn’t a big deal and he was trained for those types of situations. Guess what happened? The cops believed he aggressor of the altercation! So, drop the macho act when the cops come around. Tell them you were afraid for your life and that’s why you needed to take action to defend yourself.

It doesn’t matter if you are fearful or not, you still have the right to defend yourself he wasn’t afraid because he’s trained and he’s probably killed people before he’s a military veteran that’s bullshit. Being afraid and being in fear of your life, are two different things. A good lawyer would know that.

Fantastic piece of education in legal rights. As injury and body harm did happen, your client now has a duty to show that such injuries were necessary for the self defense and that those were no more higher than the strictly necessary to defend himself.
The police have put the phrase "officer safety" in the piggy union book which gives them the ability to become Judge Jury an Executioner.

So, if you're not afraid to defend yourself, it's not self-defense?
Just cause he is trained don't mean he wasn't defending his self what could of happened if he didn't act
