The defense attorney for Kent Cody Barlow, charged with first-degree murder in the 2022 deaths of 3-year-olds Odin Ratliff and Hunter Jackson, was absent from the courtroom at Barlow’s preliminary hearing on Jan. 29, 2024, after testing positive for COVID-19. However, the attorney was then seen in the courthouse lobby after the hearing was continued to Feb. 7.
