  1. The root cause of the gun support is the rule of a minority party. Republicans can not afford to lose the gun faction. They will go to any length to maintain it.

The problem with guns is that fundamentally they appeal to people's feeling of security; a very strong motivation. People dont want to give up that security. Guns were enshrined in our constitution to protect the country. I believe the opposite is true in europe. We have a tradition of guns in the usa. If europeans had the opportunity, they would like guns, too.

  2. I love you harry, and watch all your stuff, but, what we are watching isnt an ideological court, we are watching a partisan court. There is no way to square their staying of the jan6 case except in pure political manipulation to give trump, and the republican party, a chance to win on nov05. Partisan court = banana republic.

I know you are a part of the legal system, but we need people like you to call out the naked corruption we are living.

An outgoing president stages an insurrection and the legal system is running interference for him so he can still run for office with a chance of winning. The system is broken. The media is helping, too. This should never happen and smart americans need to pull back the curtain and expose the root cause.

  3. Politicians in this country are so full of s***. They look out for themselves and they perpetuate what all the citizens in this country already know. What we want as a people doesn't matter.. the richest 1% control everything. The problem is everyone has a price. Money is the greatest power on Earth.

  4. 03:53 maybe Donald wouldn't have been "led away", after a week, following the 6th of January 2020 Insurrection. At least there should have been some sort of lawful Judicial/Government mechanisme to have "muzzeld" the sitting 🇺🇲President & his Enablers around the Coup. So Trump could have no longer kept stoking those fires of Political division in 🇺🇲.
    😔 Please 🗳️💪🏻💙🇺🇲,
    👋🏻from 🇳🇱.

  5. If our PM in Australia were to behave as Trump did, our PM would have been arrested then and there. America is a lawless society.

  6. How about I have a friend whose son built an AR 15. And boy was she proud. I was speechless. I asked her why and all she said was, "well, it's our right, isn't it?" I am floored. I don't know how to feel about that. I grew up in the hood, like real hood and we never had guns. I don't understand.

  7. Exactly. He's been a LAUGHING STOCK most of his life. Who among us wouldn't be embarrassed to have him sitting at our table at a friend's wedding, BEFORE he was ever President… and he KNOWS it, which is why he's so goddamned viscous and PATHETIC. It's just unbelievable what this Mega-MAGA loser has managed to win in his life.

  8. Mass murderers are celebrating the bump stock ruling like rapists and pedophiles celebrate the Roe reversal. Who are these judges serving? Not women or children.Trump should have been locked up on Jan 7.

  9. Say what you want, but Trump is a master at interpersonal relationships. People around him are loyal and seem to ignore his faults. Even the secret service deleted their emails to protect Trump's actions of Jan 6. He slips through the system because he understands people.

  10. And remember compared to most other World Countries America is a newcomer , it's still young.😊

  11. Behind the obvious (not surprising) topics, there is, through Anthony´s questions and cross-lines, an underlying analysis why the US constitutional and institutional system has (probably) irreparably corrupted and compromised, and that makes this entry important enough. (More than once, Harry gets confronted with the self-immunizing, dishonest US "guidelines", too.) Remains the overall problem how a basic reshape could be done and if. So what the US needs now, might be a "Project Anti-2025". Where is it? From where could it come, by whom could it be established?

  12. But what is one of things Authoritarian run Countries do is take away public's guns ,to prevent dissent.

  13. But what is one of things Authoritarian run Countries do is take away public's guns ,to prevent dissent.

  14. I once asked why they needed so many guns and what were they expecting ? They said they didn't know but they wanted to be ready!

  15. Harry is obviously privileged. Most people don't get to live where they want to. It costs money to move and live. You think people who live in slums want to live there? I'm stuck in Texas. I moved back to take care of my mom and now I'm stuck.

  16. The abortion pill was not a win. It was a delay. They didn't decide about the pill but decided the guy didn't have standing. They shouldn't have heard the case at all.

  17. Actually they should increase the number of the SC because of the extra districts and they obviously can keep up with the cases. Look how mant cases they have yet to rule on and the term is almost over.

  18. The existential crisis posed by trump to democracy in the US & abroad is not truly about trump. I don’t know how educated discussions can go on for long periods with no one giving any mention to the social, economic & political factors that support trump and trumpism.. Have your interns create a report for you on the systematic dumbing down of Americans and most assuredly aiming to better manipulate them into voting MAGA. Quality public education has been defunded to the point where basics like history, science, critical thinking, social studies – have been replaced with remedial classes in shop or other hands on job skills. It’s worked beautifully. You may be living in your own educated bubble so you haven’t a clue that people who can’t afford basic education for their kids aren’t getting educated. Throw in the cult of personality and trump’s appeal to the LCD in the human psyche and here we are. This is not about trump. Please see the root causes.

  19. I thought for a long time it was fear of misusing our laws that has kept us from putting a stop to Trump. But remember the 14th amendment attempts to disallow him from running. It was the Supreme court that put a stop to that, and now it's clear they have been on his team all along. I love this show and I love Harry, but it's hard not to be totally depressed. I need to remind myself that it's not over till it's over and giving up is not an option.

  20. thx you two are a great team you enervate each other, very good to have the droll depression on the left and the goofy realism on the centre-right, keep it up and thx again

  21. Steve Vladeck joins the ethical scandals to the hardcore right-wing rulings/agenda under the rubric of lack of accountability–which makes sense to me but I have to agree that the former distracts from the latter for much of the public. ETA: Oh yes, Harry – I think the word "rigged" has a lot of valence here, if not literally, the foregone conclusions from the majority is coming pretty close to "rigged" in effect. Maybe that term would come in handy, or something comparable, to sustain public attention.
