The Delphi trial is set to start with jury selection on May 13th. Judge Diener has suddenly retired, Judge Gull has approved a Motion in Limine and pre-trial hearing for May 7th, 2024, and the defense has responded to the State’s Motion in Limine. Let’s discuss the latest in the Delphi debacle.
CASE BACKGROUND: Richard Allen, 50, was arrested on October 28th, 2022 and charged with 2 counts of murder in the Delphi case. Abby Williams and Libby German were murdered on February 13th, 2017, and were last seen on the Monon High Bridge. Their bodies were discovered the following day on Ron Logan’s private property.

My spidey senses is still telling me he did this horrible crime. I don’t think he is innocent AT ALL. However, the way this trial has taken so many twists and turns has me worried about getting justice for these sweet girls.
For those outside of the US, it is hard to describe the level of corruption endemic to our justice system. As a lifelong researcher of capital punishment in the states, none of this comes as a surprise.

I hate when the powers of government and justice are abused…. And it seems that no one is able to stop the abuse. I fear that justice will not be found in this case. 😢😢😢💔

It’s Gulls way to avoid making a decision “I’ll send it to another body let them rule” if she ruled in favor of contempt it would make her look like she was punishing Rossi and Baldwin anyway, no matter what the Supreme Court says! This trial is ugly!

I hope I'm wrong but I fear the defence may end up appealing if found guilty and try to claim an unfair trial

So the defense is not allowed to ask about that prior suspect picture where the gentleman who look very much younger with curly hair? That seems almost illegal to me. That drawing came from an actual eyewitness account and they are just going to dismiss it. Something so wrong here…

Reply crew here. I watch all I can but have become a lurker for the time being. We waited so long for this trial that now it is just days away, it is hard to fathom. I am torn between believing RA is guilty and also wanting him to receive a fair trial. Judge Gull is the wrong person for this trial as she is not impartial. A blind man can see that! The blunders of missing interviews, names of those people, etc is appalling. Thanks for your excellent coverage!

Woah! Another wave of stinkiness! I think the secrecy is to protect the state from their incompetence and embarrassment.
They did get the elevator fixed in the courthouse. The courtroom is small. After families are seated , there won’t be much room left. I believe Judge Gull’s ruling on no cameras in the courtroom was based on this. I’m disappointed, as everyone else is, but the media and their equipment would overwhelm the room.
If they don't catch the offender then anyone near by with no alibi is going to get the blame the longer the better bevause they forget everything i gatrentee he is doomed
This whole thing needs to be turned over to the FBI.
