Dr. Edsel Sandoval, 36, faces 20 sex crimes charges related to allegations he used his job to sexually abuse female patients. Sandoval was a doctor at Yuma Regional Medical Center until the first allegation surfaced in July 2023. More women came forward earlier this year with stories that Sandoval touched them inappropriately and sexually assaulted them. Sandoval has pleaded not guilty. Law&Crime’s Angenette Levy talks with Sgt. Lori Franklin of the Yuma Police Department about the case in this episode of Crime Fix — a daily show covering the biggest stories in crime.

I didn’t hear whether there was a nurse in the exam room while these things happened. We always have a nurse with us when performing pelvic exams/Pap smear. Generally when doing breast exam a chaperone isn’t generally required. A recto-vaginal exam is often part of a vaginal exam.
If a nurse wasn’t in the room during a pelvic exam it is the clinic’s fault not to provide a nurse assistant/chaperone.
He literally threw his whole life away to be a degenerate.
Sorry, but I do not believe it. I think these women are just after his money… He’s a doctor, why would he throw his entire career away when he could have any woman he wanted with the money he has. 🤷

If one of my doctors SA'd me I would NOT be coming back in a few days for a follow-up appointment with the same doctor for any reason whatsoever.. Makes zero sense..

The Dr. lost me up until the part of penetration. I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt that he was examining the breast for signs of a breast tumour. Then the penetration part came and I almost puked. Absolutely no excuse. Disgusting.
This is why it´s important to listen when women don´t feel comfortable with male doctors

WhenI was pregnant my OB was a female, although I didn’t like her that much, she was a female and I felt more comfortable with that. Around Christmas time my OB went on vacation so Kaiser scheduled me with the only OB at that time who could take me as soon as possible in my area and it was a male OB. I first didn’t care but then when I had to go to the appointment I felt uncomfortable in the moment and he acted like I was the one acting weird but like how do you expect women to be comfortable being only in a gown?
Praying he didnt really do it🙏i never believe when accusers conspire together… sounds like some of those women kept going back

Where i live male doctors refuse to do procedures on women if it is gential or breast examinations, they tell you to book with female doctor instead

Routine Pap smears aren’t done by family medicine doctors it should be your OBGYN, and someone is always in the room with you
