    I say pre-for/perfur which people laughs at me for how I say it

  3. It's not per-fer. It's pre-fer. Maybe she was thinking of prescription. Most ppl say per-scription, but that's wrong… even though most ppl say that

  5. I will just pretend i didn't hear you pronouce prefer as perfer because its so wrong. Your first pronunciation is correct. Just stick to that one. Your mom got it wrong, whoever taught her that might be from other region or dialect.
