“It includes misgendering and pronouns and things like that…knowing the sort of level of abuse women face on the streets and in their homes, I don’t think it’s comparable.”

The “draconian” Scottish hate crime law is “stoking up fear unnecessarily”, For Women Scotland director Susan Smith tells #TimesRadio.

  1. Humza is tackling hate this month. And he'll do gluttony and pride next month. Just back off him, guys.

  2. Except for white people between the age of 16 to 30 according to this act and to Police Scotland. They are the problem because the Police say this.

  3. A Man is a Man, A woman is a woman it's binary you are what your born as unless you have a certiicate of change.

  4. "Change people for the better" is a dangerous statement. This really means "people aren't thinking the way I want them to."

  5. The Scottish police will be known as the Scottish Stazi enforcing right speak. I didn’t see any police over a year while I was harassed by some children until I was assaulted by one of their relatives. Then the police gave their parents a warning, no charges, despite my watch, a present from my late mother, being destroyed and my having neck pain for a week. Recently I posted online to find the owner of a letter incorrectly sent to my address. Someone complained that a comment on the thread was racist. The next day a copper knocks on my door, asking for the letter. He was investigating a hate crime. Making hurty words a crime was a mistake. Yes, racial insults are wrong, but criminalising them is not the answer. I have been abused and bullied countless times, with no recourse to law. Why are some groups superior?

  6. I really hope Scotland comes to their senses, this is a nonsensical law that crates more people to be sitting on end of the law, getting outrage to the point of actual unlawful acts will be committed, because they want better than this law suggests it is for the people of Scotland.

  7. Yes. The "poor" billionaire bigot IS THE REAL victim here. Thank god Justice was served and things are right once more.
The way media swoons over the rich and powerful is sickening as it is weighed against the fundamental rights of some of the most vulnerable in society, be they impoverished or simply TG.

  8. The mutual respect and appreciation among participants are commendable. It's a rare and precious quality in online discourse.🍭

  9. They are men with gender dysphoria. Their ego beleives they are a woman and we should have compassion for them but society cant be appeasing ego's disconnected from reality.
