Top News | The purpose of the new criminal legislation is to digitise the criminal proceedings; Chief judicial of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud hailed them on Monday and called them a’significant step’ towards modernising the nation’s judicial system.
During the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) Raising Day, CJI Chandrachud made the following statement: “The new criminal laws enacted by the Parliament encompass substantive crime, procedure, and evidence, and are aimed at digitising various aspects of criminal procedure.” The 20th DP Kohli Memorial Lecture, entitled “Adopting Technology to Advance Criminal Justice,” was being given by the CJI.
