Have you heard of the police investigation technique, the “knock and talk?” This is a common police tactic used to gain entry to a citizen’s home without a warrant.
Every citizen has a fourth amendment right under the US Constitution that protects them from unlawful searches and seizures. However, if a citizen waives that right, the police can enter a home without a warrant or probable cause. The whole point of a knock and talk (or a knock and enter) is to gain access to a home and gather evidence.
My advice? DON’T answer the door to the cops unless they have a valid search warrant.

A couple of days ago 5 Police? Officers came to our house and tried to open our doors, is this legal??? I have the video of one police officer trying to open one of our doors.
No Trespassing under penalty of Death. That's just one of the signs on my property which has a 40 foot Cement wall with wrought Iron gates.
Here where I live we don't have those problems with the police. The American police are very intrusive and invasive. I had a problem with a kid flying a Drone over my property. I called the police and the Federal Aviation Administration. The police said that they couldn't stop him from flying his Drone over my property. But the FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION said that he can do an OVER FLIGHT over unrestricted airspace like an Airplane or helicopter. But those are called OVER FLIGHTS. However the Drone or helicopter CANNOT "LINGER " over my airspace. The FAA further stated that I have air rights from the ground to the HIGH HEAVENS. The FAA also said that there's Federal Case Laws to support the NO LINGERING LAWS.
(Through a closed door) Please leave my property. If you refuse to leave immediately you are guilty of criminal trespass. I will call the local Sheriff to have you removed. 🤷🏿♂️

I have a fence up to prevent ANYONE from being able to walk up to my front door. That and a No Trespassing sign.
What he isn't telling you is, even though they can walk up and knock, You have the right to revoke that license at any point, and they must obey even if you don't open the door

If you can, put up a fence with both a gate for the driveway as well as a gate to get your mail. Also, electrify your fence as well as using plenty of notifications as to the electrified fence.

Cops don't give a shit about the "public access"t hing. I had my entire yard fenced off and cops would open the gate and walk in.
This is why the doorbell camera is such a great thing.

Never open ur door to talk to cops and definitely never step outside cause they will arrest you and search ur house with no warrant. My friends and I wouldn’t even answer the door if we saw a cop at the door and one day they broke our camera we had up I guess thinking if we couldn’t see out of it then we would answer the door. We made a complaint and want them to pay for our camera and they tried to say no cop broke it even though we had the video. They weren’t even looking for my friend or I and were at the wrong house and were supposed to go to a house 2 blocks away. They would have pushed there way in and cuffed us and ruffed us up for nothing cause they couldn’t read addresses right and would of trashed our house when searching it cause they never put stuff back or not throw stuff around.
