Bryan Kohberger’s lawyers have accused prosecutors in Latah County of trying to “hide” the fact that the FBI hasn’t turned over some documents in the case. In a hearing this week, prosecutors argued that an upcoming hearing about discovery be closed to the public. But Kohberger’s defense team argued the hearing should be open to the public so they can see what hasn’t been turned over to them. Law&Crime’s Angenette Levy looks at the biggest moments from the hearing, what the disputed evidence could be and what the state is saying about Kohberger’s possible alibi in this episode of Crime Fix — a daily show covering the biggest stories in crime.

  1. How easy would it have been for BK to drop his phone off somewhere, before the murders. He leaves his phone on somewhere, where coverage is bad. He goes and murders, then goes back to that place, to retrieve his phone. The phone is useless, its not going to prove anything.

  2. It was BK who wanted this gag order in the first place. Now, that this gag order worked 100% in BK's favor, where he gained tens of thousands of people cheering for his innocence. NOW, the defense wants the public to know everything. No, if it wasnt open from the beginning, you cant do it now, miss taylor.

  3. Idaho is so corrupt throw away the whole state. It was the frats and croocked cops…

  4. I think our eyes have been opened if one draws conclusions from the past 4 years of the government and the FBI.

  5. Because you will come up with a story for this evidence they have on this Monster! His cell is near the murders then shut off during the murders. Weird! F**K this Serial Killer!!!!

  6. The defence is struggling in order to avoid the death penalty. Life in prison will be a big win for Kohberg.

  7. You being bored doesn’t matter. This is a massive case. Brian thought he knew it all but is probably learning a lot ! The sky isn’t going to tell where it is ! Regarding Cell phones who knows he may have known of something that would threw off the cell phone data like a phone in his back seat or something. Who knows. The prosecution needs to know about the cell phone witness and any evidence. If it’s here’s where these phones may hit the tower from that’s not going to help as his is still included. His lawyer mentioned proving his innocence then she corrects herself and says he IS innocent ! Interesting !!! 😮😮😮

  8. Information from FBI are crucial to create alibi. Defendant is afraid that his detailed alibi, absolutely fake, would be confronted with cell phone hidden data, this is why defendant wants to have cell phone data ASAP.

  9. It really doesn't make sense for any part of any criminal or even civil Trial to be held in secret. One of the key objectives of our court system is to be public. I believe it is inappropriate for the state to suggest any portion of the trial should be otherwise. Although if it would benefit any side it would seem that it would benefit the defense.

  10. He literally talks like a prosecutor. Ang asked him if the pictures helped him establish a pattern of habit for his alibi and somehow he manipulated the conversation to discuss dna and all the reasons why he felt Kohberger was guilty. He’s not slick.

  11. We knew this was coming !!! Come on !!! For his sake better keep this closed !!! If it was under seal before leave it under seal ! The decision was made ! Don’t use the seal as a weapon !!! We didn’t get what we wanted so we’ll ask for it and for it to go public ! No ! 😮😮😮

  12. Spew crap on the wall all day long and something may stick defense. He’s getting angry cuz the public is getting bored with his conceit so I’m guessing he’ll start the outrageous and go bigger each move he make.. He’s is playing that court like a violin. He is pathetic

  13. Innocent until proven guilty. Obviously we all want this trial to get going, but some trials have taken years to get going. He deserves a fair trial, it should be made public, especially since it is a death penalty trial. This will be the trial of the century besides the Murdaugh trial. Both sides are creating this delay, meanwhile, have they stopped looking for other possible suspects?
