11. I had a former student whose husband was kiting banks. This is a type of fraud. He stole millions. They just sentenced him to like 7-10 years in federal prison. He didn’t have to pay back any of the money. My former student was driving a different expensive car every time I would see her. He ended up getting out of prison early on good behavior. Federal prisons or the ones here in NC are nice. There is one on the USAF base here in town. My students would always say those prisoners had it better in housing than them. It was a newer building, they had a basketball court, Recreation center and picnic area. That set a bad example for my students who were Air Force dependents.
