  1. "hurt" refers to any bodily pain, disease, or impairment of physical or mental condition. "Criminal force" involves any force unlawfully applied to a person without their consent, with the intention of causing injury, fear, or annoyance. While hurt encompasses the result of physical harm, criminal force pertains specifically to the application of force with malicious intent, regardless of the outcome.

  2. Criminal Force is causing motion, change of motion or cessation of

the motion without the consent of the person, in order to commit an offence or intending to cause or knowing

it will cause injury, fear or annoyance. When the use of such criminal force results in causing of bodily pain or injury, then it would

amount to the offence of 'Hurt' under Section 323, Indian Penal Code.

  3. Criminal force is the intentional use of physical force against someone, while hurt is the actual injury or harm caused by that force. In short, criminal force is the action, and hurt is the result of that action.

  4. Difference between criminal force and hurt is tht criminal force is always refer to voluntary harming somebody and the other side hurt is voluntary as well as non voluntary harming.

  5. Sure, I can explain the difference between criminal force and hurt. In the context of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), both criminal force and hurt are offenses that involve causing harm to another person, but they have distinct elements and consequences.

Criminal force, as defined in Section 350 of the IPC, refers to the intentional use of force against another person without their consent or lawful justification. It involves acts such as assault, wrongful restraint, or wrongful confinement. The key element here is the use of force against someone against their will.

On the other hand, hurt is defined in Section 319 of the IPC. It refers to causing bodily pain, disease, or infirmity to another person. Hurt can range from minor injuries to more serious harm, depending on the circumstances. The element of intention is also present in the offense of hurt.

To summarize, criminal force involves the intentional use of force against someone without their consent, while hurt involves causing bodily pain or harm to another person. Both offenses are treated as separate offenses under the IPC and carry their own legal consequences.

I hope this clarifies the difference between criminal force and hurt in the context of the Indian Penal Code.

  6. Criminal force is the cause, hurt is the effect. In other words, hurt is done when criminal force is complete.

  7. Hurt comes in sec 319 of ipc and criminal force comes in sec 350
Major diff in hurt and criminal force is when we see
    That hurt is physicall pain
But in criminal force there is only used force.

  8. Criminal force – intention or knowledge to cause injury, fear or annoyance
    Injury as per section 44
Hurt intents to cause Pain , desease and infirmity all are conditions where force may be used or not ,
like giving toxic/poisoned food leading to bad health will be hurt

  9. Hurt me pain ,disease aur infirmity h
Criminal force m injury ,fear annoyance h
Hurt me result yaani output essential h
Criminal force m output essential nhi h

  10. Grievous hurt – emasculation+permanent loss eye, ear, head, limb, joint, face, tooth +20 days pain / endanger to life
Criminal force – by bodily power
Disposing substance/ person manner motion / change/cession in motion
    Intentionally
    Without consent
Cause fear, annoyance, injury to other

  11. According to section 350 for criminal force there is necessary that any person cause motion, change of motion or cessation of motion to that other or any substance but in hurt motion is not a essential element.

  12. Clear difference between Hurt and Force is the motion caused by Force if further leads to any pain or bodily injury such result is known as hurt as defined under section 319 of penal code. Whether it was intentional or not is relevant for deciding punishment. Hurt has a higher gravity of crime over Force.

  13. As its the word own defines the term, that is hurt is not a criminal force, (grievous hurt may be), and the criminal force is applied with higher degree of mens rea and actus reus. All the factors such as intention , knowledge differs in both, criminal forces contains all these factors at higher level.
    P.s – i don't know i m right or not , please correct me if i m wrong.

  14. Can anybody explain what does dishonour mean under sec 355?

How will a JM differentiate between sec 352 and sec 355?

  15. In hurt intention is immaterial whereas in Criminal Force, Intention of the person is mandatory!

A simple push by a person can make it liable for criminal force!

  16. In hurt there is no gesture needed but in criminal force only showing gesture to use criminal force will cause assualt.
And no apprehension is needed in hurt but in criminal force it is must
