  1. Is it just me, or is anyone else annoyed at the manner of Ms. Popell? Personally, I just want to slap that smug grin off her face! She really rubs me wrong. I guess the defense did end up doing that in a metaphorical way. Rewatching this, we now know that the cross-examination by the defense attorney was leading up to something. All the criticism of how the defense was proceeding was done "in the blind" so-to-speak. Your speculation regarding his reasons, and commentary that you could not see where he was going with his questioning turned out to be "wrong" in the end. Something I hope will be kept in mind in the future.

  2. I found the defense "make believe" argument insulting. Duh. We know. This was a movie set. And Alec Baldwin is an actor. I agree with the panelist who said it didn't really make points to keep drilling down on how unique and special he is. I don't think his demeanor is helping. Good thing the jury didn't see him walk out to get a coffee.

  3. I feel Wade Wilson’s attorney used the ‘douchebag’ defence and William Baldwin is the nice one.

  4. No matter who loaded the gun, I don't see how he overcomes the fact that he was the one who recklessly aimed it at Ms. Hutchins. Both basic gun safety and the SAG guidelines forbid pointing a gun at another person. That's where all of the state's focus should be in my opinion.
