Rayfa has come so far since the beginning of the game, I'm so proud of her! I actually started crying a little when Apollo and Phoenix encouraged her and she stood up to Ga'ran.
Here we see what makes Ga'ran unique as antagonist. SHe's not jsut merely a prosecutor, she's a QUEEN. AN uncotested one at that with no checks or balances to her power, allowing her to do whatever she wants up to rewriting the laws themselves in front of everyone and nooen can say or do anything about it.
I'm noticing a pattern in the new trilogy featuring villains who hurt children specificically. Kristoph, the phantom and now Ga'ran. Even worse, while those two pretty much only tried to harm children as part of their schemes but didn't have a personal connection to them, Ga'ran is Rayfa's MUM and STILL treats her like garbage.
first off, i hope you're safe, Lucah, and take care of yourself, please. your health comes before uploads. secondly, remember that Inga has Prosopagnosia, or face blindness. it's a cognitive disorder where you can't recognize familiar faces, even your own. tbh, Prosopagnosia looks to be a terrifying disorder to have. also, some language fun fact: inga in swedish means none, so it's a bit ironic that the Justice Minister can't see any faces.
Ga'ran is just the worst mother ever, absolutely hating her is practically mandatory by this point!

Rayfa's such a great character. I've enjoyed her the whole game.

This is why I love Ga’ran as a final prosecutor for Spirit of Justice, she is irredeemable and ruthless to everyone. Always trying to trap you with the immense power she holds not just in the courtroom but in the entire country as its Queen. Taking her on and fighting against all odds is one of my favourite moments in Ace Attorney!

I LOVE Rayfa so much, she’s so brave even in the face of her shitty mother. Phoenix and now Apollo gave her hope and now she sees that she is needed and matters in the world. ❤️🔥

17:49 Yeah, it’s like you said, she went from pushing Rayfa to do the Seance earlier, to telling her now that she shouldn’t do it. You may be right in assuming she’s hiding something which is why she changed her tune like that, but it also may be because she wanted to see Rayfa fail. She knew Rayfa would become overwhelmed and do something to embarrass herself while trying to face her father’s death and wanted it to happen. And now that it HAS happened, she’s using the opportunity to cut Rayfa down with her words.

Villains in Ace Attorney are always escalating, we started with an invincible prosecutor, went through the chief of police and now we have come to a queen rewriting law itself trying to execute everyone
7:00 I really don’t know why we have to keep flashing back to this every five minutes.
Rayfa might be my favourite MC character that’s exclusive to this game. Her development rivals that of Franziska seeing the mother and father she once revered were not who they seemed, but also the fact she’s an ice princess when you first meet her, who melts into a genuine good royal when everything she believed in is questioned by “Barbed Head”. It takes Ga’ran outright belittling both her and her chest size, something most teenage girls are conscious of for her to finally stand up to Seymour and do the Divination Seance even if facing her father’s death is terrifying.
Also given there’s a fire in my area too, I’ve been staying inside hoping it’ll go away too. Stay safe Lucah. Hope you and Jon and Bagel are doing better.
It also doesn’t help that yes, Ga’ran’s Such Insolence objection can also be translated to “Bow down” which is meaningful given she’s essentially a dictator.
