  1. My sleep aid of choice is to watch a video of someone doing a complicated puzzle, something to tire out my brain. My go-tos are either a complicated Sudoku variant on Cracking the Cryptic, or a Baba Is You mod.

  2. Actually, it's quite common IRL for people to report things to the police anonymously. A lot of people want to avoid the hassle of an investigation or avoid meeting with the police for their own reasons.

  3. in the photo that's not a tree you're seeing. that's a bush, that floor is on the ground level, we now cause we were there, we saw it.

  4. It took me a while to figure out, but "Ives Shineto" is a name pun for "I've Seen It All"

  5. Re: insomnia … I can easily fall asleep by putting on one of my favorite lucahjin LPs from the past … paper Mario, Mario and Luigi, sometimes ace attorney, suikoden… but I doubt that helps your case sorry you’re having issues with sleep. Trust me I’ve been there

  6. I love Paul Atishon's dialogue. They really captured the way American politicians talk around a question without really answering it. Lucah's voice for him really captures how smug and annoying of a character he is.

  7. Why is Phoenix so dumb in this case? "A wound from a corner of a book hitting him in the top of the head while selecting a Psychology book" COMPLETELY proves that it was accidental from books falling on him.
It's like this isn't Phoenix and is someone pretending to be him.

  8. Now we finally get to experience what it is like going against Phoenix, and his turnabout thinking and bluffs making him a relentless legal juggernaut. Even Edgeworth and Godot must've felt overwhelmed!

  9. I think we're about the same age, and as woman in my 40s, insomnia was the first pre-menopause symptom that showed up. Maybe it's the same for you? I went to the doctor twice and got nowhere until I was talking to my mom about it one day and she offhandledly said, "hey, that was my first pre-menopause symptom, maybe that's what's happening to you."

What eventually worked for me was a low dose of anti-anxiety meds. Just knocks me out in minutes. Also I started playing Pokemon Sleep. Doesn't help with insomnia but it makes waking up more fun.

  10. People think that Phoenix Wright is the ultimate foe we've come up against at this point, but also just remember: he's also an amazing bluff.

  11. Phoenix is generally 10 times more competent whenever we aren't the one controlling him. In Apollo justice, he was super clever, but then in dual destinies he loses a good 50% of his competence overnight, it seems

  12. I didn't see the vision at first but oh my goodness having a very difficult witness be a politician is absolutely perfect

  13. 23:43
I've played enough Ace Attorney to know that he's making it up, but will, in the next 60-120 seconds, figure out actual proof that it was murder…

  14. "You should know I always come fully prepared, Mr. Justice." Phoenix lied as easily as he breathed

  15. 14:21 It’s confusing but, Paul knows it’s not the Crystal of Ami Fey. He knows it’s the Founder’s Orb. He’s only claiming it’s the Crystal of Ami Fey so that he can get his hands on it to give to his benefactor who wants it, and in exchange his benefactor will get the people of the village to vote for him.

So yeah, his benefactor wants Dr. Buff to study it before he or she officially obtains it, which is this benefactor asked Paul to give it to the doctor to study. If it were the Crystal or Ami Fey, an item that Paul seems to know a lot about given that it is his family’s most precious heirloom, there’d be no reason for him to give it to the doctor to study.

  16. if I know Ace Attorney, I have a theory that is is Phoenix playing 4-D chess and Datz is in on this.

  17. The animation where he crumbles his placard might just be in my top 10 animations in the franchise. Paul Atishon never ceases to crack me up. That audible GASP just SENDS me.

  18. Yeah, Phoenix fights REALLY hard in this trial, and it certainly makes sense, he HAS had a few sequences in the past where he was able to play REALLY sneaky games. Tricking Damon Gant into validating evidence that proved him a murderer, that forged evidence in the first trial of Apollo Justice, the entirety of the second day of Matt Engarde's trial. Phoenix could certainly pull this sorta thing.

Of course, that leads to what I feel is one of the worst takes I've seen on this whole sequence. Effectively arguing that it's too sudden and weird that Apollo, with less experience is even able to go toe-to-toe with Phoenix. That phoenix's legal prowess is just too great. Like Ace Attorney is a game about power scaling. Honestly, the franchise has ALWAYS pointed against this. Green Rookie Phoenix in the first game was able to not only see through the murder scheme in case 4 that Von Karma orchestrated, but also caught Von Karma as the murderer in the DL-6 incident. You know, that guy who had a 40 year perfect streak in court. Ace Attorney has always been about the truth, even when Phoenix was defending Matt Engarde, he was able to argue in favor of Matt disturbingly well, but Edgeworth was giving a LOT of good push back. In fact, Edgeworth could've easily won that trial at multiple points, but he was also in on the fact that Phoenix had his hands severely tied. It was so tight that Edgeworth literally had to rest his case because anything else would soundly catch Matt. Phoenix is obviously working with someone bullshitting things for his own ends, but the one consistency in Ace Attorney is that the truth trumps all.

  19. This Civil Case is lookin' a lot less civil…

I've been listening to ASMR for years now to help fall asleep, don't know if it helps you though, Lucah.

  20. You know, it sure would be nice if we had someone from the Fey family able to testify about if this is the Crystal of Ami Fey or not. If only we knew someone like that.

  21. Paul Atishon-Wimperson is based off the stereotype the democratic Japanese people have of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, (RIP) hence why Paul’s grandfather is named Abe (it’s Ah bey) Atishon.
Ives Shineto: I’ve seen it all.

  22. Paul Atishon saying “You can touch it if you want” 😣 David Cameron anyone? 🐖 🐷

  23. Reese, your Politician voice is gonna come in handy when you finally get round to Great Ace Attorney. 🇬🇧

  24. Paul is pretty fun in just how pathetic and full of himself he is and getting to mock him the whole way

  25. Self-aggrandizement (self-ah-grand-eyes-ment). AKA, it means making yourself seem "grander" than you appear, or boasting falsely about yourself.

Anyways, I'm more excited for the next episode since we get to speak to Sarge in the flesh! Get Atishon out of here, we need someone actually likable!

  26. here's what i do to help me go to sleep, i found this youtuber named Lucahjin… you may have heard of her… pick a playlist and let it run at night… her soothing voices helps me drift right off to sleep

  27. “Has anyone else seen it in the Atishon residence?”

“I have testimony from his neighbor, Ives Shineto”

Ives Shineto -> I’ve Seen It Too

    Goddammit, Capcom…

  28. Love that Phoenixs turnabout theme plays when he makes a dramatic reveal, but this time it used against us.

  29. 6:39 As an Italian, I can confirm we have mighty fine plastic. So fine, in fact, that we use it instead of flour to make the dough for pasta/pizzas.

  30. I have to wonder if any of Phoenix's claims here are just his usual bluffs that he's known for.

  31. Udgy is actually a thousand years old. He drank from the Fountain of Youth and is now immortal.

Also, now it's Phoenix's turn to update the autopsy report!

  32. I'm a bit confused what you mean around 15:00. Kuhar'in and Japan are different countries, in the original version too. The translation just had to add that everything moved from Japan to America as an additional step as well.

  33. "did you think i'd come to court without witnesses or evidence" i mean phoenix this is the FIRST time you've ever had witnesses ready to call before the trial is on so…yeah tbh

  34. 21:42 The aquarium owner in Dual Destinies’ DLC case is probably the only death that was accidental instead of murder.
